Not going to lie, I had to use a thesaurus to get that word from "rear", and then the rest was obvious.

In Israel the problem with most of the drivers is not that they do not know now how to drive - on the contrary they know better than anyone (including those set up traffic rules/signs)... And of course their time is much more valuable than anybody's life...

I don't think that applies only to Israel. If you want to see really bad driving, then take a trip to Bangalore. My first taxi ride from airport to hotel convinced me that the driver wanted my death on his hands. But here in the UK (at least in the South East) things are pretty grim in the rush hour.

You probably right - I never drive nowhere else, but had near-death experience with taxi driver on the Burgas-Nessebar road...

So just imagine if you lived somewhere with a warmer climate - and the road was slick with compressed slush and/or "black ice"[^]. The latter is dangerous even when walking as it is often quite invisible. That "had near-death experince" would likely be "had yet another near-death experience". All of them are excellent drivers - just ask them.
Here (alas, not just locally), stopping for red-lights, stop-signs, and generally using signals is, apparently optional. Particularly so for SUV drivers - must be part of the warranty or something.
