So you're saying that all my efforts to stop drooling, foaming, and making incoherent noises are wasted effort?
Bollocks!

Long ago a folksinger (Joni Mitchell) sang a song "Yellow Taxi". It's most important words ever ring true:
"Don't it always seem to go - you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone"

Damn, I did not think of that. A recruiter called me yesterday about a 6 month contact to hire in a part of the country I will never move too (medical issue since age 20, and other reasons). I automatically turned them down.
I forgot how many jobs I have had that allowed me to work remotely - usually after a trail period.
I think I should call them back, because I am one of the few people that is actually qualified for the position.
In reality, most of the original members of CP qualify.

I wish I had his problems. Boo-hoo....
Buy a coffee machine, or at least a $1.59 drip funnel.....

Sooo... even if he learned how to squeeze the coffee beans, he still wouldn't know how to milk the almonds?

... Although I could name a few people whose beans I wouldn't mind crushing.

I smell a procrastinator.
I've been working from home for nearly 13 years now and wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm betting this guy's just hiding behind this excuse and in reality he's the type who stops by every cubicle and doesn't start his day until 10.
If you have no discipline whatsoever, then yeah, working from home might not be for you.

So your beans obviously need grinding.

Bang on.
It's not that hard to say "OK, now I have to put the nose to the grindstone", and then actually do it.

Good ing grief. Buy a coffeemaker ($20 at WalMart), some coffee, and make your own you helpless twit.
The only time I bought regularly at a Starbucks was on a business trip when the hotel didn't have a continental breakfast and the restaurants weren't convenient to the job site.

Interesting! Without doing that math, that would mean that ~0.0001 percent might actually know what they are doing. Who wants to do a statistical analysis of CP to determine the percentage of people who know what they are doing and those that are just here to pick their brains.
I want to say 10/90, but it is probably closer to 1/99.

If I'm to believe these guys, there should be (or should have been) around 26.4M developers worldwide in 2019.
So nearly 2/3 have an account here?
Yeah, I think there might be a few redundant ones.

How do they even count programmers? Schooling? What about self-taught (a lot). Employment? What about those who do it for pleasure alone?
I feel so used - exploiting my post to bugger the lounge for a surreptitious reputation boosts.*

Ok. Total after 17h and 43m: 1.
See? Not only do you count, but you're unique on top of that.
