Samsung was caught a few years doing this and was fined for it. Of course, the fine was a pittance for them. This is one reason I use my TV as a dumb monitor only and make sure it is not connected to the internet.

I made the mistake of connecting my LG TV to the net a few years ago, just to get it to upgrade its firmware.
Problem is, it presented zero option to disconnect / forget the wifi. In the end, I changed the wifi password on the router itself so the TV failed to reconnect.
Of course that means I had to change the password to match on every device that legitimately needs it...what a pain...

Today, that is simple - just read the list of features on the box. In the near future, it will probably become a standard feature. Then, only the cheapest televisions will not have the camera and microphone built in.

And spanish has a around hundred uses for "balls" (the anatomical ones)... or if you prefer the KSS version (with a couple of expressions less) then you can use "nose" instead.

Not sure but if was really weird. Speed tests showed decent enough download speed but bombed on the upload. Trying to submit web pages with any amount of data failed every time. I was unable to even log into my ISP. This morning all seems well, things are speedy again, speed tests work both ways, and all is good!

I barely use my $11 a month Tello Mobile cell phone plan. My life would probably be significantly better if cell phones had never been invented. I've seen cell phones do REALLY bad things to several close family members.

100% agree! I don't blame the device...the problem is with those on the other end who feel the need to call/interrupt me on a whim or because they are bored. Sometimes I feel like a jester.
