And I persuaded her to try it (she really hates new things) by installing a jigsaw app - because she likes doing jigsaws, but cats and puzzles don't work too well ... 
She's now on her fourth: she physically broke the first one, bricked the second, and has a Nokia as a backup in case her Samsung fails.
She doesn't do much with it: jigsaws and news is about it, but it's a start.
Except ... the cat has discovered the electronic jigsaws, and has started turning her tablet on, sitting on it and jiggling the pieces around with his butt.

We used to have a cat that brought home Koi - all dead.

Replace it with "Mary" (not her real name, but it'll do for the purpose) and reparse the sentence.
