Hi All,
Well maybe not rival but for shear strangeness 'Can I have the floorcloth, I need to clean the ceiling?', all through saying that my brain was going 'are you sure?, well too bad you are on your own'. I all wanted to do was get some cobwebs off the ceiling in the office. Why airtex you can't use a duster....

Use a carbon fiber rod. I just did that as well and harvested a nice little ball of cobwebs. For unknown reasons the spiders seem to be great fans of my old Commodore ST.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Commodre ST? While Sam Tramiel was booted out of Commodre went to Atari and created the ST, I think you meant Amiga, I noticed the spiders I think they get attrachted to one of the chemincals leeching out of the plastic.

In fall, my house has often been bothered by an invasion of tiny little flies; I believe they are banana files. Last year there were none. I suspect that is has to do with this mosquito repellent I bought, the only one that I have found to work: Beck-olja[^] (besides, that leather bottle holder for your belt is really classy!) I keep the large refill bottle on the shelf in my hall; when I am close up, there is a slight scent of tar from it - Beck-olja is tar based. I suspect that is what has kept the flies from entering my house the last year.

I know. It's just that Tramiel brought along the guys who designed the C64, so the ST is its 16 bit successor. At the same time Commodore bought a small outfit named 'Amiga'. These guys were designing something like a game console, but Commodore wanted a 16 bit computer. However, these guys once worked for Atari and had designed the chipset for the 8 bit Ataris, making the Amiga the 16 bit successor of them.

There are many YouTube videos of Aaron Copeland's Quiet City, but I think this one (uploaded in 2010) fits the music really well - and perfectly captures where we are right now:

Fun fact, I was actually in a fanfare orchestra for three years.
We may have played one of his songs, can't quite remember.

Wouldn't Fanfare for the Common Cold by P.D.Q. Bach be more appropriate in the present situation?
I find more places selling the sheet music than I find performances on the internet, but Fanfare for the Common Cold, Schickele 98.7[^] is one. The spoken introduction is long (almost 6 minutes) and not by Peter Schickele himself, but the presenter makes an honest attempt to communicate the spirit of P.D.Q Bach.

But for me Philip Glass's Koyaanisqatsi (aka Life Out of Balance - this is the first track of the album) feels particularly appropriate...

During this work from home I came to appreciate some software and apps which I used and some which I hated even though I don't use
Like:
1. Skype for business for surprisingly effective for the group meeting.
2. Cisco phone soft panel worked like a charm and did not had to worry about mixing personal and business calls
3. VNC was a blessing in disguise as Plan B when Remote login to lab machines failed or just slowed.
Hate app even though did not use it.
