WINKEY + +

I.e. WINKEY and numeric keypad "+"
It's "Zoom in" on magnifier, and while in theory WINKEY + - should zoom out it doesn't work on my three-monitor setup.

One of my apps uses ALT + + to add "must include" filters, ALT + - to add "must not include" filters. ALT is disturbingly close to WINKEY ... and it took me five or more minutes to work out what had happened and discover WINKEY + ESC to close magnifier ... Sigh | :sigh:

With certain Intel graphics drivers, ctrl-alt-<arrow key=""> rotates the display. Great for a drive-by on some unsuspecting colleague. ctrl-alt-<up> restores the orientation at least, but windows often need to be repositioned and resized. I don't remember exactly what happens in a multi-monitor world, but I suspect it's pretty messy.

Also dangerous: Ctrl + mousewheel, I hit this accidentally once and it took me quite a while before I found out why my desktop icons had become so large.

I do, too.

The obvious use is to enlarge text that are much too small, especially when I'm sitting in my recliner with the screen at much lager distance than normal reading.

Also when searching for e.g. a specific chapter that I don't remember the exact title, so an ordinary search
works poorly. Then I reduce the size so that only the headlines are large enough to be readable. Or I am searching for a specific photo or illustration; they are usually recognizable at much reduced sizes. If the software tool allows display of an entire matrix of several columns of several rows of page thumbnails (or next to that, if I need to read chapter headings), it helps me a lot to find what I want in large documents.

Ctrl-wheel is a very quick, very handy way of zooming in for detail, zooming out for overview. I love it.

Super useful while in the testing stage of a program while you are alone and need to move across the installation to see how sensors and different feedback signals react at real time.

But, yes, the first time can be like... "WTF happened here?!" Laugh | :laugh:

I keep thinking of that as I work on my source generator for my Visual FA project. It's a lot of work and I have a long way to go before I can write an article or anything.

Writing source generators for C# is difficult, especially in Visual Studio where your updated generation code doesn't always "take" until you exit and relaunch Visual Studio. I had to find that out the hard way, after hours of struggle.

I've also got to learn to make NuGet packages, and probably something more than just a simple DLL or something.

Here's what I have so far, and I'm quite happy with it.

So far you can declare a regex matcher (one FARule) or lexer (multiple FARules, possibly with symbol names and ids):

Yep, and if he mentioned having to restart visual studio for your source generator code adjustments to take effect sometimes I missed it.
