What do wordlers on here use as their regular starter word(s) ? mine are crane and pious

Mine is raise, the missus alternates between audio and least.

AROSE, followed by TUNIC and GLYPH if there are no hits (I run in hard mode, so if I find a letter, I have to use it in all subsequent guesses)
That covers all vowels (plus Y) in "frequency order" in English words, plus the most common consonants. I do get a pretty good hit rate!

This selects 20 different letters leaving only 6 less frequent letters, possibly 5 as Q can be eliminated if U is not used.
I had a 99% success rate for many months due to one miss on a set of letters that could have been three or four words.

I use one word per week Usually one with at least 2 vowels. In addition to Wordle's "hard mode", this adds another layer of difficulty, but I enjoy that.

ARISE, YOUTH. I'm still not convinced, and I'm looking for a better pair. This does give me all the vowels (plus Y) and RSTH, which are pretty common consonants.

anise, court, and glyph use the highest frequency letters the fastest, per my Wordle solver.

My method was to download the Wordle word list - it starts with all the answers in order of appearance followed by all other 5-letter words. Then use a spreadsheet to find the letter frequency in each answer position. Then choose a word that uses the most frequent letter for each position, but avoiding words with repeated letters.

I used to use TRACE but now use RAISE and alternative if no hits is CLOUT.
Also play Duotrigordle[^] which is Wordle x 32 at once or in sequence (they have variations).
