first one - no. There is zero tech info in there. All I want to do is ask a "how do I do this?" question. Or read the thousands of other questions others have asked.
Instead we get this mumbo-umbo crap. I can guarantee you that layoffs are coming to Microsoft. About the time the managers think CoPilot is good enough, they'll make the culling, banking on the invested infrastructure of so many customers. I simply have a hard time understanding the stupidity.
I'll keep looking and maybe I'll blunder across it.

Ask what?
Just hypothetically in response to this I wanted to know how to turn off those silly 'regions' in C#. When I want to look at a file then I want to see code. Why else would I be looking at it?
So I googled the following
Visual Studio how to turn off collapse
Looks like what came back answered the question. First one was from "Microsoft Learn". First response seemed to answer exactly what I wanted to know. Far more detail than I even knew existed.
Remove Expanded Region overlay - Microsoft Q&A[^]

I just use CTRL-ML. Toggles expand/collapse state.

I'm lifting a 20 yo VC6++ project to VS2022 because, well, because. Over the past 20 years, I've learned that project migration can fail from time to time - understanble - and mfc will change. The biggest issue is that I have this monster IDE that has grown past all reasonable usefulness - I mean it's cool and all...
I'll give copilot a spin, we what the semi-AI can tell me.

It's not just VS 2022 forums. Microsoft has a history of "updating" their forums and tech areas to make everything hard to find.

Or to change something in the data structure that breaks a lot of previous valid links.

so I'm not imagining it. I just wonder why? It has got to be some manager saying, "We need to be doing work..." I'm going to dive in again to see if the new interface will function.

AI issues, been there done that, I would suggest the Matrix and Terminator are required watching for AI devs

Once they stop calling it "artificial intelligence" and start calling it what it is: "machine learning" they cease being surprised that it's merely a tool that amplifies data it's trained on.

Machine learning is only one aspect of Artificial Intelligence.

I remember when I was doing A-Level Computer Studies (or whatever it was called) there was alot of attention to systems that 'learnt' behavoir and could predict outcomes called 'Expert Systems' talking to an AI researcher it's just fancy matrix manipulation

Yes, but with the better hardware, they keep increasing the number of dimensions of the matrices.

but it's the next big investment to make you wealthy!
The aI engines are doing this, but don't worry, corporations are using this tech to develop gene therapy for healthcare. What could go wrong?
I still argue to drop the US tax code into all of them and watch them melt down... or nuke Congress.
Just more rot, and why in the he$$ would I ever want CoPilot? Microsoft, physician heal thyself.

Just noting that the specific individual being reported seems to be basically the only one that seems to find these problems. Certainly I remember the article from before that covered that MS legal had him remove his letter.
Just reading this article a lot of what he is reporting on seems more like it is 'objectionable' to some people rather than being a "safety" issue.
Safety issue to me would be if it provided code to hack a power station. Creating/Posting negative images for social issues which I know people already created doesn't really seem like much of an issue to me.

Where can I get Copilot? (so that I won't accidentally install it)

Hi,
The overly confident IT department and Software department swapped out the test machine I had in production (ye ropey old machine) with no Network a simple standalone machine for one task. This gets changed to an all singing all dancing touch screen with wireless keyboard and mouse. Software was a bit High mighty about my bit of Windows code it all being done in C# and Visual Studio, not Python and VS Code using all manner of plug ins. My code works drag the file to the location stick the .ini in the same location and it works, the correctly written Python, Ruby & how knows blows up in a demo and wont work. Be cocky and the universe will smite you!
