My employer used to use Gmail (for business) as our mail provider, and I was only using the web version; desktop alerts for that were useful. Slack alerts were useful until a few of my coworkers got too chatty and I had to turn them off as overly disruptive. Notifications from RandomCrappySite.com OTOH can Elephant | [mastadon] right off.

Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
