Five billion people spend almost half of their waking hours online. According to a new study from Aalto University, browser clutter is a serious problem for one in four of them. Does 30 tabs count as "clutter"?

Lucky for them Vivaldi just introduced Workspaces! Kinda cool, once they get the bugs worked out (it didn't keep the workspaces at reboot for me - some were, some weren't).

Been using Vivaldi as default for the past few weeks. Been second browser for a few years. I noticed the new Workspaces feature. Only created one so far. I know Vivaldi has a ton of features, so it will take me a while to pick up the ones that turn out useful for my workflow.
But I also regularly use the Quick Commands popup (which I mainly use for Tab Search at the moment), as I do in Opera. Opera also has workspaces but I couldn't get on with their implementation. Vivaldi's appears to be better.

I currently have 53 tabs open in default browser. Though 20 of those are pinned. So I'm really at 33. But I regularly purge back to the pinned set.
My second browser is at 182!

In the tech world, live coding interviews are very prevalent but but also terribly inaccurate proxies for assessing potential team members. Better than dead coding interviews, I guess?

As someone who changed job on average every 2 years for the last 20 years, I have been in heaps of interviews.
And I can confidently state that succeeding at job interview is a skill that is only remotely related to being a skilful programmer or a great team player...
In a few (sad?) words, most job interviews have little to do with your work as a programmer, and a lot to do with selling yourself with charm and (warranted or not) confidence.
The only, possibly, technically relevant interview I had was online for EA when they gave me a few days to write a small program, and then we had online interview, talking about it and other stuff....

It's interesting that most jobs say they value being a team player but few interviews actually attempt to measure this. Admittedly it's not very easy to tease this out upfront but most don't even try. They're focused on tech tests and such.

Why was she included in the video?
We all know that most new technology is um, fleshed out shall we say, by the more prurient sectors of the economy so I guess why she made that particular reference.

While I'm not sure if/how serious this is due to an apparent omission: tongue controlled cursors have been a thing in accessibility devices (primarily for quadriplegics) for a number of years. Innovation supporting that market is always appreciated; even if this proves a commercial flop anything attempting to go for that market should be far cheaper than devices whose makers are pricing them to gouge medical and disability insurance providers.
