With plenty of mics and cameras at disposal, AI has gotten good at ‘seeing’ and ‘listening.’ But one human sense it hasn’t got around much is smell. Tetrahydro-4-methyl-2-(2-methylpropenyl)-2H-pyran by any other name would smell as sweet

Recently I looked closely at what it really means when a certain programming language, tool, or trend is declared to be ‘dead’. "'E's resting!"
Because sometimes I just have to post something to see y'all mock the author. Or at least the title (I mean, who has time to read stuff?)
If I were to pick a list of three languages *least* dead, it would be these three.

I keep having to dust off "friend", "girlfriend", and "wife" languages, as the previous version of "wife" language threw a relationship integrity exception.

JavaScript is one of the most popular languages out today, who the hell thinks it's dead?
Java has been the most popular language on ranking sites for decades, why would it be dead?
In fact, the article states "it’s simply bizarre to suggest that Java is ‘dead’ or ‘dying’: it’s de facto the most widely used programming language on the planet" 
Same for C.
Perhaps the author does some wishful thinking and the title should be "3 programming languages that should've been dead, but definitely aren't"

Very popular in the 'nix community, but not a language that I seen many job ads for.
C is still the basis, so a bit nonsense to have it on the list, unless you target a non-tech audience who might actually be surprised.
VB6 should have made the list; still in use, even after Microsoft declared it dead years ago.
