It speaks directly to the subject........I am sure if you sit back and think about what she is saying and relate it to the people around you, you easily begin to spot what she is talking about! I witnessed it with my wifes career progression and how she thought of herself vs her capability.

I have noticed that the confidence we display tends to be dependent on the feedback we receive in our environment.
If you are never given the chance to prove yourself, or someone is always watching over your back, it's difficult to feel like you are doing the right thing.
One of my closest friends worked at a company for 10 years, straight out of college. She didn't advance much, and wasn't confident in her abilities. That is until she was put on a project where the lead dev didn't develop, and most of the problems were solved by her alone.
Skipping the other details, that was the catalyst to her confidence and now she works for NASA at JPL.
I didn't read the article, just sharing an anecdotal experience...

Both the Gartner and IDC research firms have submitted their PC shipment numbers for the fourth quarter of 2014, but this time they appear to be in a disagreement. Gartner says that worldwide shipments of PCs went up by 1% during the final quarter of 2014, while IDC counters that with a 2.4% decline. That is nothing new as many security "vulnerabilities" start with "after you get admin access to a server...". And yes whatever happens next is limited just by imagination but it is hardly a security vulnerability.
So what is it here? Fingerprint readers are not selling well enough?
