Flash files that are vulnerable to a serious flaw patched by Adobe Systems over three years ago still exist on many websites, exposing users to potential attacks. If only people were reminded occasionally about Flash vulnerabilities

Microsoft is tweaking its browser strategy ahead of making its new 'Spartan' browser available to Windows 10 users. "Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty"
|
|
|
|
|
My only problem with this, that I'm actually run Spartan tests and beside a bit of performance improvement I see no other improvements...
It still has a low score in standards, still has compatibility problems, still has non-standard solutions and so on and so on...
What is really 'good', that old sites are look really terrible on Spartan...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I think keeping the old and new engines in completely separate products is a mistake. Normal users don't want to screw around with multiple browsers; as a result as long as they have one elephanted legacy webcrap they need to use at work of them (well most of the IE users as opposed to the ones who use FF/Chrome for everything possible) will probably just keep using IE11 for everything just like the one crappy intranet page currently keeps them running IE8 instead of something newer.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Microsoft recently purchased two new domains for Office. The first one is Office.porn, the second one is Office.adult and last but not least is Microsoft.porn. The next version of Windows might be interesting after all!

They're retiring IE and buying new domains?
IE was always a bitch anyway.
New version: WinHeist Version 2.1.0

It's the same when you're stupid.

Looks like Microsoft is taking its cues from Taylor Swift now

The new Microsoft colour scheme. Windows will be 50 shades of gray.

It is a sad that of affair that a company (or person) needs to register adult domain name.
It shows a lot of what the internet really is.
I'd rather be phishing!

Well, I think it's not a bad idea that they purchase these domains before someone else does it and they have to make a legal affair out of it.

The tech giant's security has been compromised due to unauthorized digital certificates being issued based on its domains. If only we had some people that we could trust to create and distribute certificates

Okay, that's not quite what they've done but what they have patented is pretty darn cool[^].

Robotic process automation has higher-value IT tasks in its cross-hairs but could be the best antidote to outsourcing yet. "They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot."

This actually looks like quite a promising thing (IMO). I for one welcome our new robotic overlords underlings.
