Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I tried turning JavaScript off...
But my boss kept nagging how he wanted me to get back to work

Turning off Javascript seems like giving your browser (or the sites that you visit) a lobotomy. The lights are on but nobody is home.

.....and web sites that have no functionality. Seriously, turning off Javascript is just plain silly.

Yeah. If he was patting himself on the back* about installing no script and whitelisting the minimum js on each site to make it work, I might find his claims credible. For something coming out of the mouth of a masochist talking about how he liked to be abused anyway. But I've had occasional js won't load snafus. Most of the time cluster elephant is being charitable for how broken a site is.

Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

With over 120 million downloads since Windows 10’s launched at the end of July, it is safe to say Microsoft’s latest attempt to redefine its Windows business is turning out to be a success. Of these early adopters, 14 million are enterprise users. As businesses are often reluctant to upgrade operating systems due to costs and security risks, this makes 14 million in 4 months a notable achievement. To varying definitions of "interest"

OK, maybe 120 million downloads, but we know that Windows now downloads the installer whether you ask for it or not.
So it's how many installs, not how many downloads.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

That is a whole 51% of business is NOT interested.
Great fail ! too

Better than 8 doesn't tell me anything meaningful. How does it stack up against w7's numbers? Both projected from a few months after launch, and in terms of what the actual upgrade rate was seen to be after the fact?

Pod. Work group. Committee. Autonomous collective. Whatever you call it, you’re part of one at Google and probably wherever you work: a team. So if we know what makes managers great, why don’t we know what makes a team great? Bonus #6: Not whatever the Google+ team does

Viewing agile as a business movement—not just a development movement—can influence improved alignment between development teams and key stakeholders such as sales, marketing and customer service. Adopting the agile mindset of team-based work and continual improvement in business functions could even improve basic processes such as customer service and support. Duh, when will businesses get it?

Haha, I mean what is agile really anyway? Working together? Do we really need a methodology to tell us we should work together?

That's nice, but when are they going to port WPF and give us a native IDE that runs under Linux?

Science IS wrong, it is ALWAYS wrong. Because we discover things bit by bit, approximating and with finite datasets limited by technology - which evolves when we are at least partially right, allowing us to discover whole new data that point out the errors and mistakes of the cycle before, then we make new extrapolations and approximationx which are limited by technology, which evolves...
