Almost all major OS vendors released security patches yesterday after a researcher discovered that some OS makers have misinterpreted an Intel CPU debug feature and left their systems open to attacks. Docs were misinterpreted? They're normally so clear and helpful
Especially the Microsoft ones: "The Colors.Black property returns the color black."

The fact that those docs were misinterpreted so widely really speaks to the quality (or lack thereof) of said docs.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Have you set up a new dev machine and found it was frustrating or time consuming? It's important to have a repeatable, fast way to set up both bare metal and VM dev machines. Setup.exe deemed difficult?

No, it's because the damn aliens do not upgrade the implants, but the data they send up to the mother ship ... they keep sucking up more ... and more.
And, implantee support: about the same as Redmond's.

Nonsense. I didn't actually read the article, but I would counter that we don't lose focus, its just that years of experience has shown us that life is short and too precious to spend too long on any one task. Or we've become so desensitized, we just don't care as much anymore.

Don't know. Didn't read, because I got distracted.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.
Same thing when you are stupid.

A long-standing goal of human-computer interaction has been to enable people to have a natural conversation with computers, as they would with each other. Soon I will be able to avoid all people!

In the May edition of the TIOBE Index, a new programming language makes an appearance at the very bottom of the top 20: Scala. Random list becomes more random
So why is it news? Because it amused me, and you're all victims of my amusement.
Or something like that.

What this means is that Excel users will be able to use JavaScript code to create a custom Excel formula that will appear in Excel's default formula database. Coming soon: JavaScript exploits in Excel

Just mix it in with a PHB who thinks that a spreadsheet is a database, that oh-so-lovely COM interop and add a pinch of blind optimism. Et voila! A recipe for a Michelin starred train-wreck that will be making lives hell for decades to come.

Plus, it's so easy to get a replacement!
