Microsoft's plan to try to undo some of its past missteps around its Windows app development strategy is moving ahead. This time, they're absolutely, positively, getting it 100% rihgt.
After all, "the third version is always the one you want."

0) Everyone avoided UWP the first time MS announced it, because nobody wanted a phone interface on their freakin desktops, so...
1) Why not get it implemented for Win32 FIRST, so that we can start porting all of our legacy code to it?
2) How long before they decide WinUI isn't good/hip/modern enough, and change everything again?
3) It seems like every 10 years, they change major stuff that forces everyone to learn something new. And employers wonder why programmers cost so much. It's because not only do we have to learn the new stuff, but we also have to know the old stuff so we can port old stuff to "the new way" when someone in management wants to pretend he/she is relevant.
4) I really despise this industry sometimes...

We’ve just released our 0.12 release of PowerToys on GitHub. We’ve gotten tons of great feedback and suggestions from the community and want to directly say thank you to everyone. Now with even more toys (well, one more)

PowerRename looks easy what will probably make it popular, but for advanced users nothing to do against BulkRename, one of the (if not the) best tool(s) I have ever seen for this task

In this article, we’ll look at .NET’s Process class. We’ll go over the basics of how and when to use it, then cover differences in usage between Windows and Linux, and point out a few caveats. This article covers behavior in .NET Core 3.0. Because no one should be deprived of their due Process

In a discussion about Linux and programming, Linux's founder, Linus Torvalds talks about what he does today and his own doubts about his work. "In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence"

From article: So, Hohndel asked, "What is your job?" Torvalds replied, "I read and write a lot of email. My job really is, in the end, is to say 'no.' Somebody has to say 'no' to [this patch or that pull request].
Does not sound like fun.

Flash, for all its extraordinarily massive security flaws, turned boring websites into arguably more appealing sites. As a multimedia platform, Flash offered animation, rich internet applications and more, for a time enriching the Internet. Now we have to find someone else to save the universe

Comment below:
Not only is Martin Gunsberg's term of "telltale" not a word used in the SYNC3 documentation at all, the functionality he described isn't explained in the owner's manual either. Even if every single car renter reviewed the manual, it is not clear they would understand what icon to look for or would recognize what it is supposed to indicate if they did see it.
Companies really don't give a crap if it there is no $$$-threat
