Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

A recent study by researchers from the Mayo Clinic found that sending text messages on a smartphone creates a brand-new brain rhythm, different from any that have been previously described. This brainwave was found only in subjects who were text messaging, not in those performing other, similar tasks. Flat-lined?
Or maybe just emoji-shaped?

Physicists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology have made a new measurement of Planck’s constant to a highly accurate degree. It’s the latest step toward improving the official definition of the kilogram, the unit of mass that underpins our entire international system of weights and measures. It's now 1001 grams?

Quote: A meter used to be defined by a metal stick with two marks on it, but in 1983 it was redefined according to how far light travels in 1,299,792,458 seconds. WTF??? That's more than 15 years! That's a dang big stick!

I just glad they picked a nice round number that is easily remembered. 1,299,792,45... dang, what was the last digit again?

Turns out that first comma should be a slash /. So... 1/299,792,458 which consequently pegs the speed of light at 299,792,458 m/s

whether US switched to metric or not, you have the following choices:
- having the yard / miles etc.. defined as a scratch on as stick
- having the yard / miles etc... defined as a rationale multiple of a length which precision is defined to roughly the size of a proton... using universal constants...

In late March, at its Build 2016 developer conference, Microsoft revealed that Windows 10 had made its way to 270 million devices. Five weeks later, in early May, it said that that figure had climbed to 300 million. Only one more month to force it to a billion, people

With the official launch of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update less than a month away, recent preview builds have been downright boring, with no new features to write about. But hold on a minute. What's this Windows Upgrade to Subscription tool? Sooner, or later, you know they'll try it

It seems like to me they want to keep control of it and just want you to acces it over the interent on their servers.
It's like they don't want any more installed desktops.
Everything runs from "Their Servers" OS, and applications "They" choose".
Just saying.
