I never noticed that. Brilliant.
I was reminded too late that I should have used 8 or Vista there. But then I forgot they existed.

Recently I looked closely at what it really means when a certain programming language, tool, or trend is declared to be ‘dead’. "'E's resting!"
Because sometimes I just have to post something to see y'all mock the author. Or at least the title (I mean, who has time to read stuff?)
If I were to pick a list of three languages *least* dead, it would be these three.

I keep having to dust off "friend", "girlfriend", and "wife" languages, as the previous version of "wife" language threw a relationship integrity exception.

Well they already are braindead, so halfway there I suppose.

JavaScript is one of the most popular languages out today, who the hell thinks it's dead?
Java has been the most popular language on ranking sites for decades, why would it be dead?
In fact, the article states "it’s simply bizarre to suggest that Java is ‘dead’ or ‘dying’: it’s de facto the most widely used programming language on the planet"
Same for C.
Perhaps the author does some wishful thinking and the title should be "3 programming languages that should've been dead, but definitely aren't"

I was going to say... did we just not have an article posted saying it was the #1 language now (something about we're doomed too).

C is still the basis, so a bit nonsense to have it on the list, unless you target a non-tech audience who might actually be surprised.
VB6 should have made the list; still in use, even after Microsoft declared it dead years ago.

Docker this, container that, and Kubernetes it all. Welcome to IT in the twenty-teens, but will it continue to be "all containers, all the time?" Some developers are turning to other approaches. "Put it in the box, put it in the box. Frank's in there and I don't care."

When I ask why Docker is such a good idea, the most common response is that it "mmakes deployment easier".
My response to that is to learn how to properely deploy your freakin code.

This is a simple tool that will help in migrating .NET Framework projects to .NET Core. Maybe you can get there from here
"It loads a given project and evaluates it to get a list of all properties and items. It then replaces the project in memory with a simple .NET SDK based template and then re-evaluates it."
