It's either degrees or radians. If you've tried both and neither produce the correct result, then that's not the (only) problem.

The curious Thing:
2.0 * ArcTan2(Sqrt(1.0 - xA), Sqrt(xA));
instead of
2.0 * ArcTan2(Sqrt(xA), Sqrt(1.0 - xA));
solved the cross check with Excel for the Moment. While the second one still is ok in c++
Why it solved it? For this I Need to bring back first trigo back into my mind.

Think about it... how can anybody offer any useful advice when you ask such a vague question. Please give us some information about what you want to achieve. I also suggest that unless you've developed an app or two before, don't waste your time looking to build one from random samples that you might be able to pull together. You really need to be realistic about what can be done starting from where you are.

So, I built this HTML5 multiplayer online game, https://SpaceBlaster.io, and now I want to put it in the Google Play Store. It already works on mobile and computer browser. Can I just slap the HTML5 code into a cordova project and it will work as an android app? How does the app know which Websocket server to connect to? Have any of you done this sort of thing before? I'm kind of at a loss as to how to proceed. I already have one cordova app in the Play Store, so I'm familiar with that routine, but that was a standalone app designed from the beginning to be just a mobile app.
I hope that all wasn't too confusing.

The Boolean variable locked is a class level variable. Notice that I set it to false at the beginning of the method. If I set a breakpoint at the closing brace of the onDataChange "inner" method and
((long)dataSnapshot.getValue() == -1); returns true, then locked is of course true. But the method EverPlayedNextLevel still returns false. How should I deal with this? I don't understand what is going on. I want EverPlayedNextLevel to return true if
((long)dataSnapshot.getValue() == -1); evaluates to true.

I'm not an Android and Java expert but it looks like onDataChange is an asynchronous function which is executed in a different thread.
Then EverPlayedNextLevel might return before locked has been set.

Thank you Jochen. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I have been working a lot. I did not end up using the method that was used in that post, but it did lead me to the answer, so I will mark your post as the answer.
What I did is rework my code so that instead of trying to return a value from the asynchronous method, I simply call a new method if the condition matches what I am looking for.

If it's a class level variable then you should not be using it like a local. Use a local boolean to get your true or false value which you return to the caller of this method. However, you are trying to get the changed value from an event handler, which will only run when that specific event occurs, not when this method is called from outside. So, all in all this will never work the way you expect.

Also, if your lat and lng parameters represent latitude and longitude, you should use a more specific data type - for example, double.

So I am trying o make an application which records some audio and then filters all the high-frequency sounds from it and then in turn play only that high- frequency sounds. I am doing so using a filter class i found online.
Now the problem I'm facing is, when i press the play button, nothing is played. Now i can't tell if it is filtering out everything and hence playing nothing or that the output file never gets the filtered part.

I suggest that you add logging to your application using the default android log utility. This will make your investigation much easier. Using a debugger - as somebody else suggested - is a very valid approach, but where you are looking at real-time effects (which may or may not be relevant) there's no substitute for logging. You can do this as follows:
Add this import to your MainActivity and Filter classes:

In order to view your log you need to use adb. If you work in a windows environment you'd do this in a DOS command shell:
adb logcat Himanshu:* *:s -v time
Issue the above logcat command BEFORE starting your app and triggering the audio record & playback. This command is saying: Capture all log messages (.i, .d, .v, .w, .e etc.. i.e. of category: Information, Debug, Verbose, Warning and Error) and do NOT capture any other log messages, show log timestamps.
I didn't check all of the places in your code where that would also shed light on the problem. It's your code and I'm sure that you can quickly identify these places.
Actually I would have done a couple of other things also before going quite so far as you have:
1. Confirm that you can play audio samples, do this by creating a simple square wave, storing it in memory and squirting it out. You can use PCM at 16 kSamples/sec and a ~200 Hz waveform.
2. Capture recorded audio to a file and check that this is valid audio.
One other thing to mention is that you are using the AMR Narrow Band voice codec. This is not a generic audio encoding algorithm. AMR (NB) has been highly optimised for voice telephony, and as is the case for such codecs. This may be important because these codecs do not handle tones at all well and music isn't very well supported. I'm not sure what kind of audio you are dealing with. You may want to consider an alternative audio encoding format such as MP3 or plain/differential PCM.
