It "smells plagiarised" - but it's been done well.
Compare this:

But then there is the link, which seems unnecessary (and my well be the point of the post).

Two messages, both with links to her blog.
The one in the JavaScript forum would probably be OK, if not for the link at the bottom. But the one on the article is virtually nothing but the link.

and then... what happens with "archive.org" a ton of old arcade games are over there too.
Maybe they are over the limit of copyright, which make then "open" for such emulators?

I am not american, so I have no interest at all in this... but... user created today, first post with a web... it stinks a bit of spam IMHO but it could be a correct free tool.

I know what you mean ... but the actual lookup appears free, it's just the products that cost. I don't see any "trial" limitations, or deliberate faffing / adverts.
Dodgy, but I'd have to say "not spam" - but watch him just in case.
