This user[^] has resurrected a three-year-old question[^] to post a link to their StackOverflow answer[^] explaining how to hide the "demo" indicator on an unlicensed copy of DayPilot Pro.
I don't think we want to encourage people to steal from @Dan-Letecky!
Anyone with a StackOverflow account should report the answer there as well. There are two other very similar answers to the same question which should also be repeated.
Edit: The QA answer has gone, but the SO answer is still there.
Edit 2: Apparently, SO doesn't care about members helping each other to steal other people's work.
All of my reports have been declined with "flags should not be used to indicate technical inaccuracies, or an altogether wrong answer".
Edit 3: And now all three SO answers have been deleted, along with the question.
"These people looked deep within my soul and assigned me a number based on the order in which I joined."

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

OP has been around for a while. Do you think we should just warn him off?
|
|
|

Probably - but I didn't want to just point out what showed he had copied it and give him clues to make it look "more original" next time.
And if it hadn't been his first post after six months here, it'd be easier...
I dunno. It's a pretty blatant copy'n'paste job from somewhere.
Is it better to have him ask nicely for his account back and promise to behave in future? Six months is long enough to get the idea we don't like plagiarism...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

It's not spam - that's advertising or site driving without permission - but it is a form of abuse, if repeated.
Chances are that he figured he'd written all he needed to in the question subject, and couldn't be bothered to add any details in the actual question. He's brand new to the site, so it's likely he doesn't know how to ask a question at all. I'd have told him off, gently, and asked for clarification instead of closing the question. But we are all different!

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???
