The questions are gone, but the user's still there. Currently on 4 kicks.

Please stop editing spam.
This was an edict from On High: Chris tries out automated spam detection systems from time to time, and if you edit messages then subsequent spam reports get attached to the edited version which contains no spammy material - this confuses the detectors and makes them useless.
Editing a question also resets its "Spam" count, which makes it last longer, and can mean that your account gets identified as the spammer if people aren't paying attention!
Just report it via the Red Flag (if you can see it) and / or post links in the Spam and Abuse forum:
http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/1652005/Spam-and-Abuse-Watch.aspx[^]
And one the Protectors or Staff will delete it.

One more suggestion for a sticky post:
Report the user first before reporting any messages to close the account as soon as possible.

It shows me report number five three minutes ago but the account is still there. May be some delay on the servers.

Depends on the report type: "Abuse" and "Spam" are different votes, and you need 5 of one type IIRC.

Hmm. I always thought the shown number corresponds to the reported type. And spam should be reported as spam and not as abusive (maybe another thing for a sticky post).

It's pretty easy to "miss" and get the wrong one - particularly on a tablet.

Perhaps we should get Chris to start a competition for the fastest deletion? I think I'm under ten seconds after he posted, but it's difficult to be sure...
