I want to set power scheme's brightness value.
How can I do that?
I try to serch MSDN but cant find the answer.
Thank you!!

I think the power scheme is a function of your specific notebook, I'm not sure if there's a standard way to set it. I doubt very much if there is, you could do it without p/invoke in C#.
A qucik google implies if it is possible, it's because it's stored in the registry.

I suppose there should be a standard way - after all, you can do it from the Control panel applet.
The trend of trying to do everything with C# is somewhat worrying, though.

Hi,
I have a Listbox in a Panel of SplitContainer.
I want to anchor it so the listbox grows/shrinks vertically with the resizing the splitcontainer.
This is my code
What happens is it sizes the listbox horizontally about nearly the same size as the split container width.
_TableList = new MdsListBox();
_TableList.Name = "TableList";
_TableList.Left = 10;
_TableList.Top = 40;
_TableList.Width = 150;
_TableList.Height = 100;
_TableList.Anchor = (AnchorStyles.Left | AnchorStyles.Right | AnchorStyles.Bottom | AnchorStyles.Top);
I want the size of the listbox set here retained.

I'm unsure if this is what you mean, but try setting the IntegralHeight property on the ListBox to False.
|
|
|
|
|
No has no effect
But I have discoverd that I have to set the Left and not the right anchor
as well top and bottom
But now part of the listrbox is not visible under the bottom panel.

I have SQL Server 2005 installed on my local computer. I have found code on how to find all the sql servers on the network which I will need. but I also need to be able to fine the local copy and what they named it to create the database. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into the same problem and found the easiest answer was to search the registry for the installed Instances. There's a list of them somewhere under the key [ HKLM -> Software -> Microsoft -> Microsoft SQL Server ] or somewhere around there . . .

If i use SQLDMO I have to add reference.Is there anyother way to get all available servers and databases?
|
|

Without adding a reference to a component that does it ? I doubt it, not easily. What's wrong with adding a reference to a component ?

OK, then I guess you are screwed, if someone feels that your spec has to include denying you the tools for the job.

This is kind of akin to asking a carpenter to build you a table without using a hammer. Why would you deny the tools necessary to do a job?

System.Data.Sql.SqlDataSourceEnumerator not working for you?
|

Check this[^]
it requires .net 2.0, but no COM.

Hi
You can use one of the following options:
1. use the GetDataSources method that belong to the SqlDataSourceEnumerator class
like the following:
DataTable datatable1 = SqlDataSourceEnumerator.Instance.GetDataSources();
2.use the EnumRegisteredServers method tht belong to the SmoApplication.SqlServerRegistrations class
for furture instruction serch for smo objects in google

I am trying to add propertyitem dynamically to property grid.
For example If I want to add a property Item Like a text box which takes "String name" as variable how to add dynamically to property Grid?
I can do the following to add the "name" text box at static design time:
public class PropertyGridProcessDesigner
{
[Editor(typeof(PropertyGridProcessDesigner), typeof(System.Drawing.Design.UITypeEditor))]
public string Name
{
get { return name; }
set { name= value; }
}
}
But how to achieve the same above thing at run time ?
Do we need to create dynamic classes to add Property Item ?
If so, can anyone please share any information you have ?
Thanks,
rajan

Hi,
I have created datagrid. When I look at its view sourse it creates table with default style as style="border-collapse:collapse".
This style will affect my default style. Could anyone help me how to remove this default style in datagrid. I have used datagrid.controlstyle.reset(), but no luck.

Hi there,
I'm not quite sure if this is the right spot for this - if not please excuse me...
I've just finished my first Version of a MouseGesture-Recognition program in C#.
I first got the idea when playing with a WiiRemote connected to the PC.
However, this is a version for Mice (but can also yet be used with the WiiRemote in connection with GlovePie) but as it is only a matter of getting a list of Points its easy to implement it for the WiiMote.
So, the gesture recognition itself is done rather easy, no neuronal networks are used or s.th. like that, but nethertheless I think it works very good.
First the Points are beeing flattened and reduced to 17 by searching for the lowest distance between two following Points and then replacing those 2 with one in the middle.
Second step is to calculate the angles between following Points.
So we have 16 angles between 17 Points.
After that we compare these angles to the ones in a example list and get the difference to these angles.
-> The one with the lowest difference is the recogniced.
I'm sure you got the idea, if not - have a look at the source code
So heres the Code + a Build
http://rapidshare.de/files/39269348/Gestures.zip.html
Thanks to Konstantin Boukreev with his GestureApp in c++, from which I did not only got some ideas but also the example datas.
Please post some response to my work and advices how to enhance it.
Greetings from Germany
Sascha Negele
