How we will create usercontrol for tablelayoutpanel in c#windows application?
for other controls like button,label i creatd but i am not able to create for container controls like tabcontrol,tablelayoutpanel.i want usercontrol not customcontrol

Hey

I am not sure I fully understand you question here but I will answer what I think you mean.

All you do is drag the control (eg tab contronl) onto a windows form then place you components onto with the relevant tab selected.

Inheriting from UserControl is normally used to build "compsite controls" where you use a few controls, like you would use on a form, to build a custom control that encompasses those controls with a related purpose. For instance, creating a custom IPv4 Address Entry control using 4 seperate TextBox controls.

Inheriting from Control allows you to build a completely custom control from the ground up. You supply everything from properties, to data management, to all the rendering code.

There's a thrid option. Inheriting from an existing control, like a Button or TableLayoutPanel. This gives you the ability to create your own customized version of that control where you add to, hide, or replace some the functionality of that existing control.

dynamic Connectivity

When i started using the crystal reprot i had a all time problem of having a dynamic dataconnection to the crystal reprot.

i was facing problem with crystal reprot when i run that report on to the other machine and the database source is not the same as the machine where the reprots where created.

i Am using Vs 2005 and Crystall Report 9 And SQL Server.Please Give Sample Code in C#

What details... There are several methods for separate parts of the app.config...

Create a reference to System.Configuration and see the System.ConfigurationManager Wink | ;)

Yep, use the appSettings section for that...

Create a new entry
<add key="PortNumber" value="123">

in your code, use System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["PortNumber"] to retrieve the setting value.

The following is the section in the app.config:

When I am accessing this using the following code:

For the "RemoteCommunicationSettings" it is giving null
but for "Modules" it is giving the values.

Can you give me a suggestion.

You completely ignored the advice you got.

The config section you added isn't valid. You should have paid attention to the sqiggly line under your RemoteConnectionSettings tag. That means what you typed isn't valid.

The code you posted won't work for retrieving your config section because you didn't add the section to the app.config properly.

Go back to the advice you were given and just add the port number to the applicationSettings section.

Hi All,
I have one WebForm(.aspx) I m using this page for showing the reports. In that page there are two(2) DataGrid and 5 Labels.All Data is coming dynamically.There is one Button.
On click of that Button, I m sending mail of this Webform into PDF format . Now i dnt know how to convert my aspx Webform to PDF. Is there any inbuilt class into .net 1.1???? Plz give me detail coding.

Plz help me. I m searching this thing from many days. Cry | :((

No, there isn't. Not even in .NET 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5.

I'd recommend using another app running on the web server, or another server, that takes a URL to get that page, with all the data it needs, then either uses a third-party library or a "PDF Printer" to assemble a PDF file for that image, then emails that PDF file.

DirectShow filters are moreoften refered to as a Codec. However, codec stands for CoderDecoder of filter is mostly used for decoding. That's why DirectShow calls those a 'Filter'. Now when opening a Media file, DirectShow will automaticly use the correct filters (for example when opening a .mp3 file) to decode the .mp3 and play the sound.

Now when you're not satisfied with the 'automaticly' generated list of filters, you can tell DirectShow to use certain filters. This is however quite complicated. You can use the GraphEdit[^] program to open a media file and insert filters to test of the filters you want to use work.

Your question is not clear - what is "current path of XML file"? Are you saying you have a relative path to an XML file but need the absolute path? System.IO.Path.GetFullPath() will do that for you.

Is there a way to control the content in one webBrowser control from another webBrowser control in a different window? I want to have HTML in one, then by clicking, or doing something in there, control or modify, or whatever, the content in the other window's webBrowser control. I would assume that the content being controlled would need to be in an owned window...

Any thoughts?

Dudez,

I have a datagridview, when I click search button,
it will show the data on the datagrid. I have no problem on this. The problem is, I want to generate the search data into a CSV File. When I click generate button and it should generate csv file. How to do that?

Any suggestions/feedback/comments are appreciated.
