Hi
I written a C++ unmanaged Dll. I tried to call the dll in C# Application. But I am unable to call the dll.
Kindly note the following points
1) I have used the namespace using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
2) I have used the [DllImport("dll1.dll")] to import the the dll in C#.
3) I tried add the dll in C++ using the Add Reference method.Using this method I was unable to add the dll to the project.
The dll is a Win32 Dynamic Dll.
Can any one tell how to write a dll in C++ that used imported to C# application ?
It is very urgent.

You need to pinvoke it, that is, you need to import the methods you want to call, not just the dll. www.pinvoke.net has examples of how to do this with Win32 API calls, the approach for your own calls would be identical.

I write a dll in VB6.0, and call the dll in c# app.
the only thing I done is added the reference to c# app references.
(using 'Browse' tab in the 'Add Reference' dialog).

lo,
i have an app with 2 datagrids containing the same database, but in one grid i like to see the hole data base, witch i already can; and in the other i only want to see certain values, for example:
every text with an h in it from column name.
i found a way to init the filter:
db1DataSet.tabel1.DefaultView.RowFilter = " name LIKE '%" + "h" + "%' ";
but noting happens, did i forget something?
and how do i make sure that he only changes datagridview2 and not 1?
if u know some links that could help, they are always helpful

Hi,
setting RowFilter is definitely the way to go. Are you sure the grid is showing the DefaultView of the table?
You can create several DataView instances for the same table and assign them explicitely to the grids (instead of the DataSet). As the RowFilter is a property of the DataView you can set them separately on your both DataViews.

Creating DataView is easy with its constructor
DataView view = new DataView(myDataTable);
view.RowFilter = "...";
Assigning it to a grid is also straight forward:
myDataGridView.DataSource = view;

Hi,
I have created a windows service successfully in C#. Actually, I would like to stop windows service after some 5 minutes at run time.How to do by coding to stop windows service. I mean to say suppose my service name is Service1.Now I run the service manually but I don’t want to stop service1 manually.
Any help is appreciated.

I haven't tried that ,but a timer can help you,
Set the timer interval to 5 mins and in the tick event close the app.

Hello,
I tried to use the ScrollControlIntoView( ) method with a panel and it wprks fine. But now I need it to use with a TreeView. As I can figured out TreeView is not ScrollableControl so I cannot use this method. Explicit conversion does not work either.
What I try to do exactly is I click any button and the related node in the TreeView should selected and also scrolled into view. The selection is ok but the TreeView does not scroll to the selected node. How can I do this (pls no custom controls  )

I need to have 2 login pages, so its seems that i have to have 2 web.config files one for the root folder and one/subFolder(s).
so my problem is that i can insert this code just in the web.config
that is in the root folder

what i have to change in the other web.config ??

i am using some code to adjust the heights of the controls in the form_resize event i don't know eventhough write the code for adjusting height one control(listbox) its not at all properly adjusted please help me.

The problem is with line 27 of your code. Character 8.
In other words, we can't possibly help you if you don't show us the code. To adjust the size of a control, you just set it's Width/Height/Left/Right properties. But if the control is also set to dock to a side, or to align with certain edges, that could override your code.

please don't get irritated of my lenghty thread.

here the numbers 576,313,134 are the actual heights af the control before resize and i set forms minheight to 576.like this i am adjusting the heights of the other controls in my form (tabcontrol,groupboxs,buttons,labels,richtextbox controls etc) i wrote a few lines because all those lines of adjusting the controls leads to 100+lines
in my code all the controls are properly resized except the listbox control that's why i included that part and nowhere i used listbox property related code in the code i wrote other than the two lines which mensioned above.

Have you set a break point ? If this code is being called, it seem a little convoluted, perhaps it's doing what you ask ? Have you looked into setting the Anchor property on your controls so they resize themselves to what you want ?

I think you can save yourself much work by appropriately using the Anchor and Dock properties of your controls, so they automatically resize with your form.

Maybe. Hard to say without knowing the whole code and in which way the resizing of the ListBox isn't as expected i.e. it gets to large, small or maybe doesn't resize at all.
Point of my posting was/is that you can save yourself a lot of time and work by appropriately using Anchor and Dock properties instead of complicated custom resizing.

it could be that you have to use the Refresh method afterwards to redraw the control...

I'm not sure, but you may be talking about IntegralHeight. If it is set to true, which is the default, the ListBox will only resize in vertical "chunks" equal to the size of a row.
If you set that property to false, you can set the height to any value.

I don't get what you want. The combobox is on form1 and you want to interact with it ? To do this, you need to use a delegate, or pass a reference to the Form1 instance to whatever class wants to see the contents of the combo box. Either way, I would never expose the entire control, I'd add a property that sets or gets the bits you need access to.
