I would like to make the font of the selected tab page on my tab control bold. How do I do this?

You would have to custom draw the tab itself. See http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/#Tabs+and+Property+Pages[^] for some potentially helpful articles.
Basically you want to set TabControl.DrawMode to TabDrawMode.OwnerDrawFixed and draw the tabs yourself. If the tab is selected use a Font with Font.Bold set to true.

hello friends
actually i am using picturebox control in my window application and have set there property to transparent.but when i minimise the application and maximise it back,it shows flickering.

You probably won't be able to stop flickering on the default windows PictureBox. But, you could create your own custom control that is derived from it, and use Control.SetStyle() to enable double buffering, which should eliminate the flicker.

I think you cant actually make a node not visible (as in dissapear it). What you can do, is remove it from the tree. If you need to reference this node later, you can store it in an ArrayList for later use.

removing a node will not help me..
Actually i m loading XML in a treeview and i want to change the value of elements from textboxes....
so, i will be needing childnodes while clicking parentnode but i don't want to display them(childnodes) in treeview

Do'nt draw the childelements to the treeview, you can store them as XmlElements in the tag property of the parent node and retrieve it when you need

You need to use gacutil.exe for it.

The assembly must also be strong named (signed) and you must be an administrator to add strong named assemblies to the GAC because it is a trusted store (and is not subjected to stack walks when checking code-access security).

I am having exception on the line where i am instantiating a TextBox in InitializeComponent() method. The exception is ArithmaticException. This problem is only with TextBox. The application is a WindowsApplication. The additonal information that it gives is of Underflow/overflow. Any help...

Is this code generated by VS.NET? Or is it programmer generated code?

Are there any easily accessible Collision Detection (for 2D and 3d) resources that I could be provided?? I made a 2D game, but the collision detection isn't 100% and I wanted to transfer the game to 3D.
I love to program!

I think gamedev.net is probably the place to look. Pixel perfect 2D collision detection is easy enough, but I have no idea about 3D, beyond a vague idea of the maths involved.

Depends what you mean by use it. You can implement the alogrithm in c#, actaully you could write the algorithm in COBOL if you wanted.
You might not be able to find a prewritten c# implementation though. 3d gfx is an area where every last percent of performance is more likely to matter so most of the work in it is still done with c++.

Eh, you can uaually eek significant performance out of C#. Its just a different process that requires understanding how managed code works, same as you would have to know how to efficiently allocate and free memory manually with C++. 
As for collision detection in 3D, its quite a bit more complicated than it is in 2D. There are numerous ways you can do it, and depending on your target gaming platform's base performance, and how precise you want the collision detection to be, it can be fairly strait forward or very complex.
Since you have never done 3D collision detection before, I would search for bounding box collision detection algorithms. These are pretty simple, and use basic face intersection algorithms to check if an objects bounding box is intersecting with any other object or wall. More advanced techniques can do per-vertex comparisons to check each point on the surface of an object for collisions. You can do this either on the CPU (slow), or with vertex shaders on the GPU (fast), but its advanced either way. I'd start with the bounding box.

If you search this site for collision detection, you should find a game I wrote in three parts, and one article is all about collision detection. I think the game I wrote was probably slower than it needed to be, but it sure works.
