Hi,
you can use the TextChanged event to first parse the string so you know the numeric value (use a format that allows for separators), then replace the text by the number in the format you want.
But that is bound to be ugly, as soon as you edit a digit in the middle of the number, the cursor position and/or selection will act weird.
Better approach is to keep the TextBox content as is, and have a Label next to the TextBox, and have that show the number in the format you want.

I don't have a clue how to solve this...
In the first place I needed to know how to read Shared Memory. Then I have a freeware program that use that and my thought was to reverse engineer that app to see how it's done. Well, works like a charm, so far.
The problem is: The main app use a dll from the GAC, lets say Framework.dll. I have reversed engineered that one too and have a reference in the main app to that dll.
But when I run the program it is the original one in the GAC that is used and I can't find where to change that.

|
|
Did you change the version number of the "GAC" modified DLL, and then ensure your reference was pointing at the new version?
|

What I have done:
The main app reversed. The dll from GAC also reversed and put into same solution. The main app has the Framework.dll as reference.
Building works. When I run I get following:
"The following module was built either with optimization enabled or without debug information".... and the path to GAC dll.
That indicates to me that it's wrong dll since I run in debug mode, even the Framework.dll.
Maybe this is over my head
The point is that I don't need the dll to reside in the GAC, but how do I make the reference point to "my" dll?

What is it with you people, you state some requirements and say thanks. For what, you have not asked for any information, you have not shown any effort in thinking this through and you do not shown you are capable of even understanding the question.
Do some work and when you are stuck ask specific question and we'll try to help!

So design a CR report that is based on your emp dataset and pass it the dataset of the selected emp - simple really.

You WHAT, are you nuts, that is a disaster, give it up.
Read up on database design and data structures, chuck what you have and start again. There is no hope for you with that structure!

Hi.
I want to build a small application that has the ability to open and interact with other applications. So far I've figured out how to open files with the Process class, and I can get my application to send a mouse click to the other application. The problem I have now is that I want to get my application to click on a specified control in the other application, and not just a hard coded coordinate.
Is there a way to programatically open an application, check for a specific control, and send a mouse click to that control no matter where its location might be?

Read some MSDN info on FindWindow and SendMessage(..., WM_CLICK, ...) win API functions. Other than that, you may want to use Spy++ utility (optionally installs with VS) to learn some info about the controls you wish to click.
