Hi,
I develop a csharp smart device application.I want now to connect to my romote databse .mdf(synchronous mode:connected mode).So i want to migrate my application to a real time application.When I try to add my romote database as an exiting item,the system doesn't let me to do that.
Also when i try to change my string connection from:
string wCS = @"Data Source =\Storage Card\ModeDifféré\BaseGmaoLocale.sdf;";
to:
string wCS = @"Data Source =\Storage Card\BaseGmaoDOTNET;";
when running,it tells me that there is an error in the database path
what is the problem??
thanks for u help

Hello,
As a part of my application, i draw polygons.
My application is related in GIS.
In general the cursor mode is "cmnone" and we can also change it to zoom, cmselection in the properties.
In the properties-cursor mode, there are only 5 modes to choose.
But if i want to change the cursor mode to some other like '+' sign when ever i enable the drawing polygon, how should i do it???

Hi,
You're referring to the mouse-cursor? What kind of application are you in, WinForms[^], WPF, ASP.NET, or something more arcane?

Am using the map control, which is control obtained from the mapwindow. I can draw polygons on the control. So when drwing is enabled for the appln user, the usual cursor mode would the arrow pointer right but i want to change to something like '+' so that it indicates the drawing mode.

There is no mapcontrol in my toolbox, hence the question what kind of application that you are building. Setting the mousecursor in a WinForm is easy, doing so in a web-application might be more difficult.

Hi,
I have developed some .NET controls in .NET 2.0 with VS 2008. Now, I upgraded my project to VS 2010 but did not change the target framework to .NET 4.0 yet. But, surprisingly, I found that, the toolbox is not showing the bitmaps for the control added to the toolbox in VS 2010. Moreover, when I dragged and dropped a control (.NET 2.0) from the toolbox to my Web Form, I see some junk xml code added to my web form. I dont know if I need to recompile the .NET 2.0 controls with VS 2010 ? or what should I do in order to make the controls compatible for both in VS 2008 and VS 2010 ?

How to use a dictionary to read and write the object in File with C#.
thanks.

You don't use a Dictionary to read/write a file. You use a sequence of IO objects to read/write data, the Dictionary is merely a storage vehicle.

And what is that gibberish? You want me to actually write the code for you?

TL;DR
If you're having trouble serializing a dictionary, that's because it isn't serializable. That, of course, does not prevent you from just writing out the data yourself, in your favourite way.
Or maybe your second favourite way, if the default serializer is your favourite. (it kinda sucks though, IMO)

Oh yes it is![^] Well, sort of. With a bit of effort (and a following wind).

Well, it would help if you told the system that some CLing was Serializable for a start. Decorate it with the [Serializable] attribute.

I often us the FileStream to read and write the file.
the class FileStream is in the namespace, System.IO;
|
|
|
|
|
Readin the stream, break it up into the bit you want. Asign it into the dic.
i.e.
textIn = new StreamReader(File);
string text = textIn.ReadLine();
var 1 = text.IndexOf("String")
var 2 = text.IndexOf("String")
var 3 = text.IndexOf("String")
Dictionary.Add(Key, new CLing(var1, var2, var3....))
Im unsure what you want. Hopefully this helps.

Good Morning,
I develop a GMAO csharp smart device project.I finished it in the asynchron mode(consulting a local database .sdf).I wanna migrate my application to be a real time project(consulting the database .sdf created by the society where I work).When googling,I find that the solution is replication.
I wanna ask is there another solution then replication.I tried replication with a simple example but doesn't work for me.
I try by changing the connexion string from:
string wCS = @"Data Source =\Storage Card\ModeDifféré\BaseGmaoLocale.sdf;";
to:
string wCS = @"Data Source =\Storage Card\BaseGmaoDOTNET.sdf;";
what is the problem??
