I am writing a program on c#, but I am storing information on mysql and extracting it into c#. I want to have a function on c# where the user can update information. How do I have the user update the information that is stored on mysql.

You should be able to run a Transact SQL query from your SQLConnection object in you application that does that for you. The SQL command that you're probably looking for is the UPDATE statement which you can find plenty of information about on the web ( Here's one).

I think you are looking for the object Process . Specifically, Process.Start() . You can set it to run sync or async.

Look in the System.Diagnostic namespace.

Is it possible to make parent and child forms running in the different threads.
For example parent form will be in main app thread which launch another thread which creates form and are child to the parent from.
Actaualy what I want to achieve to have MDI in which views/child forms running in the own thread. In C++ was 100 methods to it using WinAPI/MFC/ATL/Stingray ... Here I confused to find at least single way to do it.

Sure you can, launch the other thread and call Application.Run from the other thread.
void buttonClick(...)
{
new Thread(new ThreadStart(NewThread)).Start();
}
void NewThread()
{
Application.Run(new ChildForm());
}

Nothing special, it's the type name for the form which you want to be displayed in a separate thread. Just replace it your form's class name.

This is the thing. When you trying to set ChildForm to be child of parent or set parent to ChildForm either way it showing differnt errors.
Parent/child relation error or sync issues.

I have a big dll project with 3 different namespaces. Complete code is well structured and now I want to make one dll for each namespace out of it. Now I have the possibility to start 3 new projects, copy and paste the code and compile it. But is there another way to compile without the copy paste possibility? Thanks!

Are your namespaces in different code files? If so, you could just copy the files themselves rather than the code. Either way should work.

Hello,
I'm pretty sure that this is not possible. The smalles unit that you can build is a project and the linker doesn't produce more than one assembly per project.
I don't know about VS 2003, but if you're using VS 2005, you can make a new project and take the project properties from the original one. In the project explorer, you can move the files per namespace to the other projects. The IDE moves the physical files for you. Second, you'll have to add the references to the projects and do a build solution.
Hope this helps.

Can't you just move them all under the same solution or add them to a solution and compile it that way?

Thx for reply,
By using VS 2003, it seems that I have to use copy paste.

Before we can help you, you'd have to give us some more info. Is the narration a static wave file? Or is the narration generated by the system using text-to-speech?

Dear friend
Yes, as you mentioned the narration is a ststic wave/mp3 file saved on disk.
the narrator reads text lines and text lines should be selected or changes color to show the user which line is currently reading.
thanks for your reply.

I'm afraid this is a little difficult to do. At the very least, you're going to have to have some voice recognition software that recognizes what the speaker is saying. Perhaps you could look at the Microsoft Speech API[^] for that. When the speech API software recognizes words, it should attempt to highlight your string, which can be done easily if you use the right control; the standard RichTextBox should suffice for that.
Hope this helps.

Hi friends
I'm working on a project in which I have to get each line of webBrowsr text
to count number of words and do some process on that line. I tried working with mshtml.IHTMLDocument2 document but there is not any access to lines of webBrowser text there.
Please let me know if some of you knows the solution.
Regards.

The Document object will give u access to All the elements in the Page
including the so once you can loop till the | tag where the actual text is
you can the value by Element.Value

I have a Main Application that uses viusal inheritance to call 30 or so other forms. Therefore, I have about 30 dll's that I reference that represent each form. I want to be able to instantiate each form only once. If the form already exists, I want to bring it to focus.
I have done this using the following code:
private static Namespace.Class Form = null;
button1_ClickEvent()
{
if ( Form == null || Form.IsDisposed == true)
{
Form = new Namespace.Class();
Form.Show();
}
Form.BringToFront();
}
This is where my problem arises. I have to write this code for each form I "plan" on instantiating. How could I roll this up into a function or class that I could "call" for each form?
For instance:
private Instance(Form, Namespace, Class)
{
if ( Form == null || Form.IsDisposed == true)
{
Form = new Namespace.Class();
Form.Show();
}
Form.BringToFront();
}
I would then pass all of the respective variables.
Thanks in advance

You can do that using reflection. But you'd then need to maintain a hashtable of sorts to keep track of which forms are currently visible. If you can do that, then the following code will work.
private Form CreateIfNeeded(Type formType)
{
Form f = (Form) formMap[formType];
if (f == null)
{
f = (Form)Activator.CreateInstance(formType);
f.Show();
}
f.BringToFront();
}
