Hello,
Is it possible to change the "DefaultValue" attributes value of a property without overriding the property?
Thanx for youre time!

No

It's a bugger isn't it
But looking at it from a design point of view it makes more sense.

Or am I doing something wrong?
I'm creating a column sortable Listview and I want to give the user some visual feedback on which column is sorted and all that stuff, aka a sorting arrow.
In order to do that I'm activating OwnerDraw and then in all the protected overriden methods (OnDrawItem, OnDrawSubItem, etc) I'm setting DefaultDraw=true;
The only painting I'm really handling is inside OnDrawColumnHeader. I have everything working fine with XP themes and all using the VisualStyle namespace but there's one bug I can't seem to fix: The DrawListViewColumnHeaderEventArgs has a property which gives you the ListViewItemStates of the header. The ones I'm interested in are Default, Hot and Selected. The bug is that the Hot state never seems to activate, when you mouse over the header, the e.State property does not change and remains 0 or default. This makes it imposible to correctly render a themed header as it I can't detect when I have to paint a hot header. I've tried using Rectancle.Contains(Cursor) but that runs into tons of problems when moving cursor from one header to another.
Anyone know if this is a known issue or am I doing something wrong?
thanks

.dss is a format used in files which are dictated using a dictaphone (eg. Olympus Dictaphone) which is an equipment commonly used by doctors for dictating the consultations they make
i made some extensive search in google.
There are many players that can playback this kind of file.
like olympus dsslyte, dss dj etc.
But what i need is a control or component which i can integrate into my application.
actually i have this player with me.
i thought of calling it with a shell exec call...
but i dont know whether i'll be able to control the player when the focus will be in a word document.

It's an audio file ? I'd guess your best bet is SDKs that cover lots of audio formats, including obscure ones like this.

cracked it buddies..
.dss is a propreitory format introduced by Olympus.
they provide the sdk for projects that need to use this format.
Now I just need to use p/invoke to use the apis provided by them in their .dll file
P/INVOKE --->
Anyway thanks for ur suggestions....

Two things I can think of at the moment
1) Make sure all the parameters are correct and that the file exists.
2) Make sure your Main function is marked with the STAThread attribute.

Are you sure that the spreadsheet is a compatible version, i.e. it can be opened normally in Excel 97?

With RSACryptoServiceProvider, we can encrypt a message by a public key and decrypt the messge by a private key. But I need encrypt a message by a private key and decrypt the message by a public key now.
Can anybody give me some advice? Where can I get some reference?

You can't do this, it's the fundamental feature of RSA encryption
The only think you can do which does this is signing the data, you can't decrypt it but you can sign it to prove that it came from someone. Take a look at the signing functions in the RSACryptoServiceProvider class.

Actually, you CAN do that, but it does not make much sense Why encrypt a message in a way that everyone can read it?
Cheers,
