Hi,
To change the font :
- right click on the console title bar
- select properties
- Select the Font Panel and change the font.

Hi all,
I have a question would like to ask regards to the complex data binding using checkbox control. My situation was my data types at SQL database was char data types and it holds only 'Y' and 'N' value. Now I would like to bind the char datatypes 'Y'/'N' to the checkbox control. When the values hold for 'Y' and checkbox will be checked. Otherwise, it was in uncheck mode. If the values holds for other data values beside 'Y' / 'N', an intermediate checkbox value will be holded. whatever method being tried before, it can't bind correctly onto the checkbox control, is there any method I can bind it correctly using char data types by using checkbox control?

Hi,
This can be resolved using Format/Parse handlers. Here the code :
<br />
Binding YesNoBinding = new Binding("Checked", yourDatasource, "YourPropertyName", false, DataSourceUpdateMode.OnPropertyChanged);<br />
YesNoBinding.Format += new ConvertEventHandler(YesNoBinding_Format);<br />
YesNoBinding.Parse += new ConvertEventHandler(YesNoBinding_Parse);<br />
yourCheckBox.DataBindings.Add(YesNoBinding);<br />
And here the code for handlers :
<br />
void YesNoBinding_Parse(object sender, ConvertEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
if ((bool)e.Value == true)<br />
e.Value = "Y";<br />
else<br />
e.Value = "N";<br />
}<br />
<br />
void YesNoBinding_Format(object sender, ConvertEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
if ((string) e.Value == "Y")<br />
e.Value = true;<br />
else<br />
e.Value = false;<br />
<br />
}<br />

Hello everyone,
I have an Windows Application which has got actions such as "Connecting to database", "Save", "Load", and so on. I would like to inform the user with some sort of animation once these actions are taking place in the pop up windows.
I was wondering if someone can point me to a right direction for getting this done?
Thank you very much and have a great weekend.

Are you referring to something as simple as:
this.Cursor = Cursors.WaitCursor;
Or do you want something else?

Hello Pualee,
Thanx for the reply. I was thinking of something similar the Windows Delete dialog box which pops up once you chose to delete a file with the animination showing papers are thrown into bin.
Thank you for your info and I appriciate any help in this matter. Have a great weekend, Paualee.

Add a picture box to your form and then set the image to an animated Gif.

I need to implement an undo and redo for an entire row in a listview
containing approximately 10 columns. I'm not sure of the best way to
implement this. The only thing that I've thought of is a stack
implementation. I need to be able to undo a delete, an insert (add), a
movement within the list
Any ideas?
Thank you and any ideas would be appreciated.

I have developed a small window application, which has sql server express as backend.I have created a setup file for the application but i dont know how to install the database for the application.I donot want to attach database either.
How can i make a setup so that i can also setup the database it needs?

You can make custom Installer for your application. Add a Installer Class, then add the Code to copy your database file or crate it on the server -e.g. using the T-SQL command "CREATE DATABASE"-. Then in your setup project view custom actions and add the primary output of your application project.

Hi!
Is there a component which provides Align selection in your application like it is in the Visual Studio 2005 (for example, ImageAlign or TextAlign selection).

If you are taking about web forms then I have written an article on this:
http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/EnterKeyToButtonClick.asp[^]
If you are taking about a windows form you can check the keypressdown event and look for the enter key (#13) and then call the PerformClick method on the button.
Hope that helps.

When the application finishes the Process object you used to start the application will have the ExitCode property populated. That is the return value from the application. (i.e. the value returned from the Main method in the application you called)

I find a little code to be more helpfull most of the time.
System.Diagnostics.Process proc =<br />
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(<executable>);<br />
proc.WaitForExit();<br />
int ret = proc.ExitCode

Hello
I think the "WaitForExit" method and "Exited" event of the process class will only work if you set the "EnableRaisingEvents" property to "true".
All the best,
Martin
|
|
|
|
|
Must be that it's the default because I have used the code as posted in literally hundreds of programs without addressing the EnableRaisingEvents.
I am no expert.
