Your friend is a moron. Transactions are a feature of most database servers, I believe they have support in standard SQL. Certainly, Oracle supports them.

MySQL 3.x does not have it. They are now only slowly bringing in these features.

To be fair - Oracle is more compliant with the Ansi standards than MySQL.

MySQL is crap. They didn't have stored procs a year or so ago.

You can execute .ASPX pages from command prompt. You need to have Web Form pages duly processed and served from within an ASP.NET powered web server. Your Visual Studio 2005 Development Web Server, IIS can help you out to process WebForm pages.

Have you tried a google search ? I mean, they have help pages and forums dedicated to answering this question. It's all pretty easy, actually.

Well, not here, that's for sure. The link is on the page, and it's free, they just give you a code to use.

First of all, this is the C# forum. You probably want the ASP.NET forum.
Second, how can we tell you what's wrong with your code, if you don't post it ?
Your control on the client side will have a different name to on the server side, and does not have a Text property. Half of the code you posted is C# and half is a javascript call. You need to find the control in javascript, and set it's value, using javascript.
