Thankfully, not much of one. I think you'd currently be classed as a "script-kiddie".

Yeah, right. You've already demonstrated your complete lack of knowledge of the Windows Loader and file systems.

nah. A script kiddie has a minimum base level of skill needed to use his toys. This person doesn't, he's just a kidiot, all talk, no act.

There is no such thing and it's a HUGE security violation to even consider it. It's impossible to launch an .EXE on a remote computer just by copying the file to it. The remote computer has to be told to run it after the file is copied. This is also a huge securtiy violation and should be avoided as a solution.

Hi,
Currently looking to develop a real-time application that receive market data feeds from a series of sources. The market data would be updated on a regular basis to over 100 connected clients.
I have a few question and would appreciate everyones advice.
1. Is WCF over TCP as quick as .NET remoting?
2. Is WCF capable of dealing with large number of prices to over 100 clients.
Lastly, does anyone know any good C# books on TCP programming with WCF?
Thanks in advance
I would say that for this type of application, WCF is going to be as performant as remoting. There may be some speed differences either way, but they shouldn't be enough to really matter.
Yes, WCF will be capable of dealing with this amount of data.
As far as books go, you really just need one on WCF programming. The choice of transport channel doesn't really change how you build the WCF service, only how it is configured. You can check out any of these WCF books from Amazon.com.

According to the benchmarks, WCF over TCP is quicker than remoting. WCF is certainly capable of handling large loads.

Is it possible to check the taskbar for all programs that are flashing / highlighted?
Thanks!

You can get the active window using GetActiveWindow API defined in user32.dll
You will have to periodically check for the active window.

I don't think there is a way to see if it's flashing. You can make it flash[^] if you want though.
Take care,
Tom

nope, making it flash is easy.
But checking if its flashing seems to be out of my leage.

It's a long shot, but this article[^] may help you get the flashing state. Once you have the toolbar button, you maybe able to find a Win32 api function that gets the flashing state of the toolbar button.
Take care,
Tom
