Erm, you were told not to give wrong answers to questions because you, well, gave the (very) wrong answer to a question.
In particular, I am refering to a thread about 10 down where you told someone it was not possible to play videos in a windows application, only in an web application How do you think we got the likes of Windows Media Player, a DVD application, Quicktime, RealPlayer and any number of proprietary video players?

I checked few of your posts, here are few tips
1. check the suggestion at the top [See here][^]
2. This is not the first time you raised this issue
3. I think you need help. It seems something else is bothering you. Seriously do you have a close friend you can lean and talk to.
4. From time to time, feel free to take out something that is bothering you by *ranting* here. We are here to help each other.

No, no... you are learning something everyday.
Make sure to have at least one friend (out side the internet). Don't let some thing chew you up internally. You need to take it out every now and then.
Good Luck

Okay, I'll say it. It's because you're clueless, and that appears to be typical of new programmers from India. They come in here and expect people to help them with simple questions (and more importantly, easily answerable with a little freakin' legwork on their own part). I'm not trying to be disrespectful toward Indians in general, but more often than not, what I've stated is true. Most of the time, guess where we find the answers for people... That's right - google.
If you showed a little effort and initiative to actually work the problem out before asking here, we'd be more receptive. Instead, you come here and ask the question, prompting some of us to laugh, point, and ridicule. You're actually quite lucky that folks are merely ignoring you.

You should appreciate the people have helped you and still helping you now, rather then blaming them.
If nobody answered your question, double check what is going wrong with your question, I don't think the experts here are choosing member to answer the questions.
You got rating 1.62/5 (6 votes) from this question, lowest rating i can see so far. You should retrospect yourself.

I'm trying to compile the MediaPortal project, and one of the references is Microsoft.DirectX, but it's not in my list of available references. Do I have to install the DX2 SDK to get that?

I got mine from installing the DirectX 9.0c SDK, from the MS Download Centre, some time ago. There may well be more recent versions out there V10 perhaps?

i'm using vb.net, and i need to know how to get the names of all the fields(columns), a mdb table contains, and display them in a listbox.
hope someone can help....

while this is a C# forum so your lucky to get a reply...
if you are using OleDbConnection and OleDbDataReader you can run a select all query ("SELECT * FROM table1") and then loop each field in the reader and call the GetName method of the reader by speciying the field index. example...
string[] columns = new string[reader.FieldCount];
for(int i = 0; i < reader.FieldCount; i++)
{
columns[i] = reader.GetName(i);
}
