I have found a problem with most of the applications we are working on, namely that the windows double click messages are never received. The reason for this is that the windows are openGL based and the CS_DBLCLKS style is not being set by glut. I can get around this by adding the flag to the file glut_init.c, but this a 3rd party file so I'd prefer not to modify it.
Does anyone know of a way I can pass or set default windows style flags to glut without modifying the GLUT source code?

Apart from compactness and speed what are other technical differences in Debug and Release Version

Another difference is that you don't link to the same versions of dll's (C run-time for example). You link also to debug and release versions of the dll's.
And, distributing microsoft dll's is not allowed, so you should always distribute the release version of your program.

To build my installer I take all DLLs from a top level bin\Release directory.
However in some cases, every now and then, some debug mode DLL which I forgot about might have slipped in the bin\Release folder.
I would like to detect any of those automatically. (I have a custom setup building tool).
How could I detect debug mode DLL with win32 call?
Thanks

Use dependency Walker to get the support DLL names.. (DEPENDS.EXE)
For Release EXE, no Debug DLL needed....

I know dependency walker, it's how I realize my problem in the 1st place.
But I would like my automated tool to check it for me in case I forget or don't bother verify manually all my DLLs...

I think (not sure my experience )that you need to convert jpeg to bitmap if you want to create avi file and (i think that you can control file time and time from each frame)

I am able to get the viewtype of I and III column but i am unable to get the viewtype of the middlecolumn(II and III) which is a nested window
By viewtype handler i mean this
CFileListView* CMainFrame::GetLeftPane()
{ CWnd* pWnd = m_wndSplitter.GetPane(0,0);
CFileListView* pView = DYNAMIC_DOWNCAST(CFileListView, pWnd);
return pView;
}

According to this article: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms235342.aspx
The manifest can be embedded in the binary, and therefore the external XML manifest is not necessary. I don't want to ship with the external XML manifest file, so embedding the manifest in binary is what I want.
I know how to check if the manifest is embedded in the binary, my question is: How do I MAKE SURE VS2005 embed the manifest in the binary. Does VS 2005 embed the manifest in the binary by default? Each build it generates an external XML manifest file, but the manifest is also embeded in the binary.
Also, in the Configuration properties -> Linker -> Manifest File, there is an option called "Allow Isolation", what does it do?
Thanks

Hello,
I am trying to develop an addin for Visual studio 6.0(msdev.exe).
I am using DevStudio Add in Wizard for it.
It provided me default code for handling application events and debugger events.
But my objective is to handle copy,cut,paste ,print commands in editor.These command are not the part of IApplication events or IDebugger events.
Could anybody please help me in
finding the best possible solution for this.
As per my understanding Cut,Copy,Paste methods are part of ITextselection interface ,which i try to implement in my class,but unable to handle those events as there is no proper event passing.
Thanks and regards,
Ruhina.

gethostname()
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do it.

Once you have the name where are you finding it difficult to get his IP Address.
Use gethostbyaddress()
