Try This:-
m_progressctrl.SetRange (1,100);<br />
m_progressctrl.SetStep(1);<br />
for(int i=0;i<100;i++)<br />
m_progressctrl.SetPos(i);

Hi,
I have a basic Visual C++/MFC program written with VS .Net 2005 but that doesn't use .NET Framework. I tried to run it on another PC, and it didn't work although I had all the required DLLs in the same directory. It said something like "application could not initialize properly...". I tried to fix this by installing .Net Framework 2.0 (which did not solve the problem) and then using the setup wizard. This eventually worked but I don't know why.
I want to be able to run my program from a USB key, without any installation or download. This should be possible since I'm not using the .NET Framework (at least not intentionnally...). I've never had this kind of problem with VS 6.0. Any idea of what I need to do with VS 2005 to make my program standalone ?
Thanks

I checked every single DLL loaded by my program (using "attach to process..." in visual studio) and copied them to the program directory.

even, you hadn't use any CLR APIs, you might have linked with those DLL.
change the project settings accrodingly.

I'm not using the "/clr" option in the compile command line... Is there anything else that can make me link with unused DLLs ?

are you linking with MFC DLLs? I dont know more about executable created by VC++ 2005
Check with Dependency walker

Hi to all,
1) How to implement Drag Drop Event for Microsoft FlexGrid Control in VC++.
I want to move the row(s) of FlexGrid Control within a single FlexGrid Control. How it can be done?
2) In my project I am using only Audio Files (e.g. *.wav, etc). So how I can add my own message(/string) in Rt. Click Context Menu of all Audio Files (or all wave files) of my System? Like for BMP file it's context menu shows 1st string as "Preview", while for TEXT file it's context menu shows 1st string as "Open".
Plz. Help Me.
Thanks & Best Regards,

I'm migrating code from VC++ 6 to VC++ 2005/(vc++ 8). For this I'm creating a new MFC Project in VC++ 2005 and adding files (just for one module) from the existing project. I'm Using MFC in shared DLL with /clr option.
The code has no compile time errors (although many warnings are there regarding DAO). The code uses DAO to access data. When I run the project the first thing(messagebox) it shows with three buttons Abort, Retry, Ignore:
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: d:\projcts\tryAgain\Elect\debug\Elect.ext
File: f:\rtm\vctools\vc7libs\ship\atlmfc\src\mfc\winfrm.cpp
Line:2325
There is no such path "f:\rtm\vctools.." on my pc, may be it was there who originally developed the project. And this path is not being used in any of the source/header files.
When I click on Abort or Retry it goes into the following files:
winfrm.cpp
objcore.cpp
dbgrptt.c
afxtls.cpp
and says Elect.exe has triggered a breakpoint. And finally execution ends with not showing the Main form.
I think the poject was compiled with Static MFC Library option for release by the earlier developers. I don't know why am I getting this error even after creating a new project and adding files to it?
I have rebuilt the project and set the "Use Precompiled Header" option to "Not Using Precompiled Header".
I'll be highly indebted for any kind of help.

have you checked the error code?

There was no such error number.
It is debug assertion failed in winfrm and in some other cpp files.
I want to execute my code with no prior links or dependencies, that is why I created a new MFC project in VC++ 2005 and added existing header and source files to it.

Can you show the full call stack at the point the problem occurs, I think you will find that the error occurs before winfrm.cpp which is just complaining that something has not been set up correctly.
Can you post any of the code, or the code with any company confidential information removed, then I can take a look.

I figured this out a long , i'm sorry i did'nt post it quick.
It seems for VC express you have to download the PSDK(platform SDK) which enables one to write old win32 code.
Theres a whole video on how to integrate the PSDK into VC express , here is it[^]
I got VS pro , the PSDK is integrated into it.

Hi,
These r the steps I followed and created the project.
I have created a msaccess database with two tables employee and department.
Created a UserDsn in Administrative (odbc)tools and given the name SampleDB.
1)started visualstudiodeveloper6.0.
New->MFC Appwizard (exe)->ODBCSample->OK
2)Single document ->Next
3)Database view without filesupport->DataSoruce->ODBC->SampleDB->employee->Next->Deselected printing and printpriview->Next->Next->Selected Cview->Finish->OK.
4)Insert->Resource->Dialog->New
5)changed th caption to Data entry and ID to IDD_DATAENTRY and changed properties styles as child and thin.Deselected the systemmenu.
6)Added three static texts and three Edit boxes named as EMPNAME,EMPID,SALARY.
7)Activated the classwizard and added new class CdataEntryDlg ok.Then manually I changed the CDialog to CPropertyPage in DataEntryDlg.h and DataEntryDlg.cpp
7)Inserted new dialog resuorce and changed the properties to child and thin and given the name List and ID to IDD_LIST.
8)Dragged three static texts and editboxes
9)Activated classwizard and given the name CListDlg and Base class as CpropertyPage.
10)Then added new class named CPropSheet.
11)In the resources editor expand menu and double click on IDR_Main menu and in the Help menu I added psheet and activated classwizard and added function.to the MainFrm.cpp
12)In that function added body as
void CMainFrame::OnHelpPsheet()
{
CPropSheet psheet("sheet");
CDataEntryDlg dlg;
CListDlg Ldlg;
psheet.AddPage(&dlg);
psheet.AddPage(&Ldlg);
psheet.DoModal();
}
And included the header files #include “PropSheet.h”
#include “DataEntryDlg.h”
#include “ListDlg.h”
13)Insert new resource ->add new class named as CEmpSet (base class Crecordset) and OK.
Selected ODBC as SampleDB(snapshot) then list of table names displayed and selected employee and then OK.
14)again goes to DataEntry dialog and activated the classwizard.
15)And chosen the class info propertypage and selected the foreign class as CEmpSet and added variable m_pSet then OK.
16)Again moved to DataEntry dialog and activated classwizard and mapped the fields .
17) I included EmpSet.h in DataEntryDlg.h file.
Now I compiled successfully and when executing I got assertion failure.
Please can U say what is the wrong with me.
If I comment out the DDX mechanism in the EmpSet.cpp file then the Propertysheet will be created without any values.
Thank u.
Tejaswini.
