You have to implement the child dialog as a modeless one, see [^].

Did you provide function body for constructor and destructor of CFolderDialog class? Have a look at possible reasons for LNK2019[^] error.

Jijo.

As the error message shows, you've not included the library (or the object file) containing the CFolderDialog class as Linker input in your project.

You have declared a constructor and a destructor for the CFolderDialog class, but you haven't defined the functions, i.e. they have no function body.
Or, at least, your linker cannot find them.

Most likely you haven't added FolderDialog.cpp to your project, so it is not being compiled and linked.

Can you please tell me a method to view the contents of stl::map in watch window, just as we do for stl::vector?]
Thanks in advance,

Found this[^], is it useful for your purpose?
VC8 does list map contents in the debugger, not sure if array index operator will work in the debugger watch window.

Shibu-anna,
Have a look at ToDo Cached Add-on for Visual C++[^]. It provides STL container expanding support for vector, list, map, multimap, set and multiset.

Probably you are doing some operations which are taking long time.
Due to this OnPaint is not getting processed. Try to put the operations that are taking long time in thread.

I already said this to you once. ICopyHook is not going to help you. You need a file system filter driver for your needs. Now, I'll wait for you to come tomorrow and post the SAME THING again.

Drivers are an advanced subject. Perhaps you should work your way up to that level.

This function makes two assumptions: 1) the shell is used for the copy operation, 2) only folders or printer objects will be copied. The OP clearly wants to copy files too, and he may want to do such using more than just the shell.

I think you are interested in getting some notifications when some changes happens in the file system.
Just have a look at the pair of win32 APIs FindFirstChangeNotification and FindNextNotification.
A sample program is available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365261(VS.85).aspx[^]
