Yes, I'm using a WIN32 Console Application, does this count ??
Thanks for the reply ...

And just how do you expect to get a dialog box from a console application?

This might be a very stupid question, but isn't that MFC ???
Yes, that is MFC.
Programm3r wrote: I'm looking for a way to do it in C or C++
Well, MFC is a class library implemented in C++ that wraps the Win32 API, so technically it is an answer to your question.
But, I guess your question is how you can do this in C/C++ without the MFC library.
If this is the case, the answer is you have to use the Win32 API directly, e.g. DialogBox[^] for showing a modal dialog box.
Have a look at the CP - Win32 section here[^] to see if you can something that may help you.

Hi,
i use a DialogRessource for a view, so the style must be "subordinated", with this style
the Dialog has no Border and "works as a View"
Now, i use to make a Dialog Window (Modal State), i derived a CDialog class with the same IDD
of the Dialog which i used for the view.
All works nice, but the Dialog has no Border (titleline,Frame,...)
Because i set the style to "subordinated"
How can i change this style at runtime? (At the creation)
Thanks in advance

Use ModifyStyle or ModifyStyleEx or SetWindowLong with nIndex set to GWL_STYLE and dwNewLong set to new style.

Thanks for the right way

I'm wanting to be able to accept electronic payments for consulting and products through a service like PayPal. However, I'm not entirely happy with PayPal (their fees seem high and takes time to get them to pay you), and want to explore other options.
Anyone have thoughts?

I don't have any suggestions of alternatives but I did once receive payment for an item I sold on eBay for £350 via Paypal, I saw the money in my Paypal account and requested a transfer to my bank which was apparently successful so I sent of the item only to be contacted via Paypal telling me the money was sent from a stolen credit card and I was responsible for the cash, leaving me £350 out of pocket after I had paid their ridiculous fees!
I would avoid Paypal at all costs!

Hi,
I'm working on windows2000 with SP4. My application crashed when running. The developer ask me to open Dr.Watson for this application and send dump file to him. However, after run "drwtsn32 –p PID" (My application's PID), Dr. Watson crashed! So I can not get whole dump file. I just see such error from Dr. Watson's log:
App: (pid=2096)
When: 4/10/2007 @ 15:58:17.609
Exception number: 80000003 (hardcoded breakpoint)
I feel very boring and don't know the reason

Try to use your debugger instead of Dr.Watson, this will be much more efficient .

Thanks. Moonen.
But I don't have any other debugger tools. Do you know what can I used to replace Dr. Watson?

What IDE are you using ? Don't you use visual studio ?
In most of the IDE, there is a debugger which comes along. Or are you using a simple text editor (like errr, notepad) and a command line compiler ?
If you are using any version of visual studio, simply press F5 to start the debugger. You can put breakpoints using F9 and watch the different variables state.

You must include Winsock2.h in order to use these functions.
harshadha wrote: But it doesnt rectified,
Then you are doing something else wrong. What does your stdafx.h file look like?

Hello All,
We have developed complete Device Driver, by this Device Driver we are able to communicate with the FTDI Chipset , means we can read Device Descriptors, Endpoint Information, even we are able to write the data to USB Device, but during read operation we are not receiving the correct data.
For reading USB Data we have used following Functions of DDK
UsbBuildInterruptOrBulkTransferRequest(
urb,
sizeof (struct _URB_BULK_OR_INTERRUPT_TRANSFER),
PipeHandle,
&Extension->ReadData,
NULL,
ReadLength, //64,
USBD_TRANSFER_DIRECTION_IN | USBD_SHORT_TRANSFER_OK,
NULL);
IoSetCompletionRoutine(
Irp,
(PIO_COMPLETION_ROUTINE) ReadDataFun,
Extension,
TRUE,
TRUE,
TRUE);
Please if anybody can help out Can for any alternate way or if anything wrong in the above fucntions.
I have also tried with _CallUSBD Furnction but with that also I am getting same results.
also if anyboudy can tell me by using this function how URB are updated I mean whether we have to pass the Device Object to Update or what exactly we have to do.
Please Help
Thanks & Regards
