Can it be infected.... Answer Yes
Will it become infected .... answer Possiably
Depends upon when the virus/worm/trojen or other Malware is written, and passesd arround. There are a number of Malware for the mobile platforms, but not a lot moving that I know of. Check out the http://www.sans.org and some of the usenets forums.
Cheers

If it could be infect by the virus. Are there any anti-virus tool that could install on this device and prevent it from virus infection? If no virus tool available, there there any solution to prevent the virus from an internet to affect this device?

Yes, there are several AV-Solutions for mobile appliances. But most I know of were written for the SymbianOS used in mobile phones.
I believe F-Secure has something more generic...

where have you get it ? since when microsoft distributes non .iso files
consider checking the file for viruses first !
BTW, the format is supported (if the file is well formed) by nero, Alcohol 120%, Daemon tools, etc...

What kind of office application that you choose? For me I choose all of it. And some file are EXE file and some are IMG file. I already burn IMG file to CDROM and found that every file setup is store on the CD. As I remember, the file thar is IMG is Microsoft Form 2007 and Microsoft SharePoint 2007 beta... Try to check with your download file.

Do we have any good effective WIN32 API which can tell whether my application is running on a system with a color v/s monochrome monitor attached.
A sample code snippet will be helpful.
Am using the following sample and apparently its not giving correct results always.
bool bColorMonitor = false;
// Get the display information
DEVMODE devmode;
if (::EnumDisplaySettings(NULL, ENUM_CURRENT_SETTINGS, &devmode))
{
//If dmDisplayFlags is set to zero then monitor is colored otherwise GrayScaled.
bColorMonitor = !(0x01 & devmode.dmDisplayFlags);
}
else
{
dirTrace.Error(_T("EnumDisplaySettings() failed"));
}

Hi
I have a combobox which should show folders+files when user types (like Run in windows) I use SHAutoComplete API to give it this ability.
The problem is that in most occasions (!!) when I complie the program (written in vb6) the AutoComplete window (which is shown as user types in the combobox) only shows folders while I set the flag to 0x0 which should show Folders and files. The strange part is that in some occasions this works perfect!
I am totally mixed up!
I'd be glad if someone could help me.

i want to capture all the messages sent through this application in one centralized place.
this application it self having a option to store the all messages in Notepad format, but it is very difficult to annualize the details in text file, so it should be updated in to the database, is there any solution for my issue

If possible, you could write your own application to query a text file and display any information that you want. Try to read this article[^] for more idea.

I never use RealPOpup but if it is possible, if RealPOpup has its software development kit (SDK) you might be able to create your own application to trap the LAN message. Try to check on its original website for its SDK. On the other hand, try to check in event viewer, I'm not sure that its record the message in event viewer or not but you should have a try to check it.
