Could you please email me the code in a .rar, or renamed .zip (ie .notzip) file, along with the image? I will fix it.
Thanks,

Oh, I thought it can be done without it...
In that case I will upload them again, I believe you have other things to do - who feeds the hamsters today?
Thank you anyway...

Just wanted to check and get some comments on this...
I am going to blog about some recent development I have done, sliderDemo[^], and in the blog I was going to link to my github as a location for the source. I am not concerned about the licensing model, intended to be open sourced, but I was curious how something like this would be handled by CP??
I don't want to step on too many toes.
Thanks in advance.

I cant see why they'd have an issue - many people here have blogs they also use to expose technical writing - as long as when you post an article here, it meets the standards and you include a source upload, you can also post a link to github .. and on your blog you can also refer to CP ..
(I'll be doing the same shortly)

If I understand you correctly, we'd ideally like to host a local copy of the source (if it's under 10 MB) and then put a link right below that to github for "The Latest Source" download. Would that be acceptable?
Thanks,

I don't mind at all.
I was going to write this as a blog post then have it consumed by CP and I just don't want to step on any toes by including a link in the blog to github.

How would you go about adding a code snippet on javascript?
Every time that I add it to the editor and preview the code its not there.
Is there a guide to how to add code snippets of this type?

I think if you are pasting the code into the article editor, you would want to use the second paste option shown here (JUST for when you are pasting code alone, mind you):
Code Project Article FAQ[^]
"Encode HTML"
Unless you change all of the angled brackets from "<" to "<" and so forth, the <pre> tags will absorb all your code like a glass of water poured into a river.
If the article editor is hurting you, please feel free to email me your code and I'll be happy to tackle the process for you.
Thanks,

It seems that the Cite value in the format selector (in the editor) does nothing.
I tried several times but at the end done some hand-formatting via HTML...

Hello,
While composing an article, i was writing a paragraph. When my para got completed i hit the enter key.
But the moment i did that, my paragraph got shifted down from the top it self(not from where i hit the enter key)and the cursor placed to the very top.
So to go to the next line without hitting enter, i needed to either press space bar till the line ended or press the right arrow key till the end, then the cursor shifted to a new line. So how do i overcome this?
Thanks

The Editor is a cripple. Explains everything, but the Hamsters still refuse fixing the Mofu.
I'd strongly recommend you to download the template and do the editing offline, in a HTML Editor or Visual Studio.

Hello All,
I am writing an article. I just wanted to ask a few things:
- How to add a code block section to the code which we post? We can do so while submitting a code into the Question Answer section, but not here.
- How to add an image?
- How to add a quoted text block?
Thanks,
- Rahul

- I don't think there's a button to toggle "code section begin" or "code section end." You might have to do this on an HTML level. So add a <pre> block with your code in it. If you're having trouble shoot me an email and I'd be happy to take a look
- 14 and 15 should cover that here: Code Project Article FAQ[^]
- If I understand you correctly, when you're pasting the text you want in a quoted text, the option of what paste type should automatically show up (shown here: Code Project Article FAQ[^]) and you would select "Quoted Text"
Thanks,

Respected Sir,
So the type of text i am adding should be an HTML? I tried doing so, but when i say the preview of my article. It showed up with all the HTML stuff(i mean the tags and all). I will try again.
Thanks a ton

Hello Sir,
Now suppose i say:
<b> Hello</b> in my Article, it does not show "Hello", but it shows what is written as it is, like this:
<b>Hello</b> when i preview my article. I hope that i learn HTML like this....
Thanks a ton

It sounds like the angled brackets are getting encoded.
Make sure you're pasting it as <b>Hello</b> and not <b>Hello</b>
Thanks,
