Thanks a lot for your kind heart .

I finished an article yesterday, but for some reason I'm unable to publish. When I click "publish", I'm redirected to the preview, where it says in the sidebar that the status is "pending". However, when I leave the page and come back, the status is back to "Draft". This just keeps happening again and again. It's still listed in my list of articles with the comment: "This is an unfinished article".
Also, I'm unable to delete the files I uploaded. I uploaded a TGZ file, and for some reason a ZIP archive also appeared. When I try to delete any of them, the following error appears:
"Error occurred while deleting file. {"Message":"There was an error processing the request.","StackTrace":"","ExceptionType":""}"

I didn't think we accepted TGZ files, that might be the problem.
Would you like me to try pushing your article live?
Thanks,

Yeah I considered the possibility that this is the issue. However there is no way for me to upload a different type of archive, as deleting the current one gives the error...
You can do whatever you think is necessary to get the article up It's the one about PiCom & PiFTP. If all works well again, I can try to upload a different type of archive.
Just out of interest, how come you do support TAR and GZ, but not TGZ?

I pushed it live. Even the download seems to work

Try posting your question in the Visual Studio forum[^] instead.

It's marked as deleted, but you can still access it and download the source code. how can I delete it for good?
Thanks

A deleted article is not visible to everyone, only to the author and to users who can moderate articles.
If you want to delete it for good, you'll have to contact an admin.

I think that I'm the admin of this article, since I wrote it, and I deleted it . But every one can see my article by this link, even if you are not logged in to the Code Project.

I meant a site admin. You wrote the article, so you are called the author.

That's not true. If I'm logged out, I can only see the title, not the content.

It's really not visible as I can see now.
In order to delete the title that associated with my name, I need to contact the site admin?

Yes, indeed. Only site admins can hard-delete content.

I've fixed it, but I'm puzzled as to why it happened.
Did you edit the article after Sean fixed it? If you did edit it, did you edit using the HTML that was there, or did you paste HTML from a local version of the article into the article editor?
cheers
