the default is ascend, you want to descend, just append the string "DESC"
thus your new SQL is:

It appears that a Web Service thread is safe unless you either Thread.Sleep() or create a new thread. Is that correct? I was worried that a second client could enter a [WebMethod] while the first client was doing things such as working with Hashtables or the Registry (both of which are suppose to be very thread unsafe. Therefore I wrote the following two WebMethods below to check out whether the threads would switch if Test() was called by one client and test1() would be called by another and the threads didn't appear to switch. Test() loops for a long time (about 20 seconds) while creating 10 entries in a Hashtable and reading the Registry 10 times. Test1() should immediately return a value. I start Test() with one client and then immediately start Test1() with a second client and the second client doesn't return until the first client completes which makes me think that the threads are safe. If I place a Tread.Sleep(1) in Test(), the second client returns immediately indicating that the thread will switch with a Thead.Sleep().

I have a table as the sole element of a page, is there a way to have it as close as possible to the borders of the page ?
I can set the left margin to a negative value but that doesn't seem right :
{margin-left: -5px}
I'd like to have my table fit as much as possible the inside of the page "frame"; now, there's too much padding.

Does anybody know of a GOOD image editing component for webpages? I need at least the following functionality:
Pasting
Resizing
Cropping
Saving/uploading (to server)
.asp/.aspx supported
Other bonuses might include adding caption bubbles to the images, but is not critical.

Hi,
I have been asked by our clients to create a customer feedback form which will be contained and distributed in an email. Once this form is submitted it will generate a reply email containing the form responses.
It's not something myself or any of my collegues have done before in ASP, so I'd like to know if it's possible first.
At the moment I have a test ASP script which sends a HTML form via email. The form action is set to post to another ASP script which will build a table of results and send back to our clients.

I have used dreamweaver MX to design website. I have used templates to manipulate pages.
Now, I am goin' to change some html to asp.net ... so have decided to use Visual Studio.net.
Can anyone give me a good suggestion to bring that site to develop in visual studio and still use dreamweaver to design site.. using templates.

I have a gif image on a html page, the gif contains multiple frames (similar to avi).
I hope different frames can link to different pages.
that is:
when user clicks first frame, popup a page related to first frame.
when user click second frame, popup a page related to second frame.
and so on.
is this possible?

No, not possible.
You could maybe try using a timer which fires at the same interval as your animated GIF, but that wouldn't work under all circumstances and probably would become unsynch'd quite easily.
Your best to use static JPEG's or PNG's and just change the source attribute every x number of seconds and at the same time change the href for the anchor encompassing it.
Something like:

First thing I noticed and have to question is your choice of operators when concatenating strings.
&=
I may be wrong, but in most languages this is not used to concatenate strings, but rather it's a bitwise AND assignment.
Try using +=
This looks like ASP or something so it may very well use different operators for concat.
Assuming you used the right operator, the first line...
Why does it have javascript???
I would suggest either getting rid of it completely or adding a semi colon and see what happens.
javascript would become javascript:
It appears as though your code is being directly assigned to an event handler, so I can't see any reason why a javascript: protocol would be needed.

I dont know why the : doesnt show but its really here in our application.
For the rest it's because the onClick must be assigned at run-time because the controls are not here until then (we are binding image to a Datalist).
Anyway we think we have find a way to resolve our problem. It appears it was an update with JScript or something similar.

Hi,
I am trying to download a file from server using WebRequest object. The following is my algorithm.
1. Create a WebRequest object
WebRequest req = WebRequest.Create(<url>);
2. Set the method to the request object
req.Method = "GET";
3. Set the current user credentials
req.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;
4. Get the response
WebResponse res = req.GetResponse();
5. Get the response stream
Stream inStream - res.GetResponseStream();
6. Save the stream to the local file.
GetReponse takes lot of time and I want to optimize the same. Can anyone suggest me what settings I can make so that I can reduce the time. I will be downloading the files from within the intranet.
