Thank you for replying again. I need a little more info in order to be able to take advantage of your insight.
You said: "As suggested you can use CSS to apply the formating like a table." In which "specification from W3C" can I find some information about how to use CSS "to apply the formating like a table"? Can you be a little more specific? The W3c specifications are enormous. I'm trying to read it now, coincidentally, but because I am so ignorant at this point, that your telling me that the solution to my problem "is in the W3C specifications" feels like someone telling me that the solution is in the Encyclopedia Brittanica. (You had no way of knowing that I am so ignorant, and I apologize for wasting your time.) I have no idea where to look. Could you possibly tell me on what page of the W3c specifications I'll find the answer? (and maybe even say a word or two about how the stuff on that page will help?)
I really appreciate this help. Thank you again.
Barry

I did not say to look in the specs for how to use CSS. I said the reason you could not use ol/li as you tried was covered in the specification which describe how browsers are supposed to render elements. If you want a specific reference, sorry I'm not spending the time to look for it. Researching yourself will help you learn.

I don't think you will be able to do that with
tables but css can give you the disired results.
Here is an example ...
<pre>
<html>
<head>
<title>My HTML application</title>
<HTA:APPLICATION
APPLICATIONNAME="My HTML application"
ID="MyHTMLapplication"
VERSION="1.0"/>
<style>
div{
width:280px;
}
ol{
padding: 0;
margin-top: 0;
margin-bottom: 0;
border-top: 1px solid black;
border-left: 1px solid black;
border-right: 1px solid black;
}
ol li{
border-bottom: 1px solid black;
color:red;
}
ol li span{
border-right: 1px solid black;
width:120px
}
</style>
<script language="VBScript">
Sub Window_OnLoad
End Sub
</script></head>
<body>
<font size ="4"><b><u>My Outline-Numbering Wish List</u></b>
<br>
<div>
<ol>
<li> <span> Decimal type </span>Right Column </li>
<li> <span> Tea type <br> it says 2</span>Right Column </li>
<li> <span>Coca Cola type <br> it says 3</span>Right Column </li>
</ol>
</div>
</body>
</html>
</pre>

This may not be the correct forum but I can't find a better place to ask this!
I'm writing a custom IMAP client to perform some automatic processing of emails. The problem I'm having is that when I create a mailbox in code, it's created fine - I can move messages to it etc in my code but when I view the account on another email client the mailbox is hidden.
How do I stop this, or is there a flag or something I need to apply to the mailbox?
[Edit] A little further investigation reveals if I use a string literal when making the folder name there is no problem. If I use a string constant however - the folder is created hidden... wierd! [/Edit]

In case anyone comes across this in future, it turns out that depending on the client viewing (or it's settings) you have to issue a subscribe command after creation so the user is auto-subscribed to the new folder - pretty obvious now but took some tracking down! Dave

So you are offering your clients a service which you have no ideal how to implement. Good luck to your clients.
No, there is no template. Again, good luck to your clients I know the language. I've read a book. - _Madmatt

Hey, Mark.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, we are growing very quickly. We have lots of work to offer designers of all levels, and there is a demand for Google Maps from our clients that we intend to fill; so, we are in the research stage.
If there are no templates or software, what do you recommend? We have been on Google groups/forums, etc, and we have yet to find someone who knows absolutely how to create these maps systematically.
Can you contribute to a solution?
Thanks, again.

Well, so far, we have told our clients that we are looking for solutions to their map needs. We have a couple of our php designers that are working on one map for one client, and the client is aware of the status, delays, etc, and that we are seeking persons more experienced in this area. We are unsure why you assumed that we have not told our clients the truth.
Nonetheless, we are hopeful that this forum will yield a more positive response. If any members would truly like to be of service, please respond. We believe this forum offers an opportunity for our company to learn and network, and it seems we probably need to contract an experienced "map guru" for this work. In any event, we are hopeful that any further responses offer either a solution or a possibility for an ongoing working opportunity. The only software that we have found so far that even "helps" create these maps is phpMyAdmin. So, again, it seems very likely that we are looking for someone to contract to do this ongoing work. THANKS!

Hmm...
There is a Publish option on the project. I wonder what that does?

Hi All
I have been doing some research on command line programs and been testing some results from these.
Now that I am done testing, I am looking to test a few more features, this time on a mobile platform.
The problem I have is whether or not it is possible to use a command line executable within the mobile environment.
This is the ideal scenerio:
Some uses there phone and logs onto a specific website. They then request something from the server.
The server then sends the requested file along with the command line exectuble. The executable then performs specific functions on the file on the mobile client side and presents the file.
Is this at all possible?
Two things immediatedly jump out at me: Do I have to code the executables into the web application for the mobile, or can it be done simply by programming in somthing like asp .net?
Thanks for the assistants and comments in advance!

It is quite likely that this data is available as some sort of feed. You should contact the company and ask if they provide this.
Alternatively you could use Mark's option (previous post) or another way might be (if the data is available) to adapt this: Yahoo Market data - another take.[^]. Although the data the article uses as example isn't exactly what you want Yahoo supply a wide range so it might be there somewhere. Finally, you may have to pay for it: proprietary data (such as the site in question displays) is rarely free.Tychotics: take us back to the moon

I have a new vm 2008 box with 8gig Ram and 6 processors running IIS 7. I need to find a way to set my website up in a certain app_pool while other websites are in a seperate app_pool and try to bring it down. We are trying to see if one app_pool looses all its resources what happens to the rest of the websites in the seperate app_pools.
Can someone offer some suggestions on how I can test the website to accompolish this? COuld be C# code or asp.net page that does it, just needs to be done.
Any help?
Thanks
