I looked at the source of your page (Firebug is *BRILLIANT* ) and there is no background image specified in the HTML. Your HTML header does reference a stylesheet stylesheet.css but it appears to be empty. Maybe that is what has gone missing.

Hello,
I'm going to try and explain my situation a simply as possible and hope that I get some advice on:
1. Can it be done?
2. Where to read about how to do it?
3. Is it the best way to do it?
Currently our website is on a 2003 windows server. It also has probably 40,000 PDF files located on the D: drive, with a spattering of some Word, Excel, various graphics and movie files. I have setup virtual directories to these folders so that the files are available for viewing on the website. Still no problem to this point. We have Indexing Services running on this server, so that there can be a text search on the thousands of PDF files located there. Again, still no problem to this point.
(NOTE) I am not the Network administrator here, though out of necessity, I have learned a great deal about IIS 6 and IIS 7.x. Our network administrator is, how should I say this, somewhat lacking in Network skills and knowledge.
They have purchase a new server with 2008 R2 on it, and because of our Network administrators lack of knowledge, I've been the one learning how to configure IIS 7.5 and copy our website, while converting it to .NET, over to the new server. Time consuming, but still no real problem at this point, except for the NA ability to set permissions so that the new server can read all the files and folders on the current website server. Those have slowly been corrected.
Now my PROBLEM, I have suggested that we have a stand-alone file server to hold all of these files, which grows at a rate of several thousand files a year. Continue to run the Indexing Services on that server so that it will have less impact on the webserver.
1. Is there a way to read the catalogs created by the indexing Service on another server from the code in my website on a different server?
2. Is this common practice to run a separate file server(especially with so may file) or is it best to continue having them located on the same server as the website?
3. Would trying to run a separate file server be more complicated because of the abilities of our Network adminstrator or should I just keep it simple?
I don't have the time to build, design, convert and otherwise maintain the very large website and learn everything about the NA's job too. However, I'm not opposed to doing some addition learning in that area if required.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
but i want to user asp.net controls..
link which you have provided , in which they have used another controls
so any other wayout??

You can download the dlls and you could use that control in the link mentioned above.
0)If you want only asp:DropDownList then I doubt you can change the color of arrow.
1)To change the color of the selected item
DropDownList1.SelectedItem.Attributes.Add("style", "color:Black; background:Orange;");
DropDownList1.Attributes.Add("style", "color:Black; background:Orange;");

You pretty much can't with CSS.
Except, maybe, and probably only in IE, you could put this in the CSS for the dropdown and see what happens:
scrollbar-base-color: #1F2C4F;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #55BBff;
scrollbar-track-color: #5D7B9D;
It works for grids, panels, and the browser itself, so it might work for dropdowns, too. With the above caveats.

Try switching the positions of center and no-repeat .
|
|
|
|

You should use padding and margin if you exactly know the width and height.Also you can use line-height property to the .

Over the past few months, I've noticed that animated ads on lots of sites don't load and start playing until I scroll down to them.
Is this something that's being coded into the page, or is it a feature of the latest browsers to not load them until they are needed?
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Hello,
I need to develop the theme for ASP.NET MVC 3 application.
Can you please suggest me the approach?
1. Should i go for bunch of style classes and load them dynamically.?
Is there any better approach which lets me to use single style class and allow me to load images dynamically.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Rahul

Why not do this via CSS?
It is much easier to control and edit.
Something like this:
body
{
background-image:url('MyImage.png');
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-position:right top;
}

Which is your choice and why?
I've been using EasyPHP for some time and it works well.
Never tried XAMPP though...
|
|
|
|
|
I use XAMPP myself. Simply as a result of not having heard of EasyPHP before.
For brevity, I'll abbreviate XAMPP to x* and WAMPP to w*
I do seem to recall that x* had replaced the 'old' w*, though am unable to find (in about 90 seconds) any concrete evidence of this being true, merely a few other people that had the same assumption.
I will note however, that my code written and functioning under x* in windows will run just fine under linux, so long as there are not calls to COM objects and that silly mistakes are not made with file-naming/handling conventions.
The same cannot be said for my w* code, which would invariably fail when used in x*. I'd suppose for a lack of packages, though I do recall having trouble when writing a pdf creation module, as some of the w* files were older than the same files in the x* distro - result: "No PDF you you!"
I might add, it's been at least 18 months since I investigated either. A lot can change in a year and a half.

First of all, don't use very urgent in your post. This is a volunteer site and people will answer you on their time, not yours.
Once the pages are rendered to the client their is no page or masterpage, just elements. Use the parent object from the iframe.

Hey...thnks for the reply.
I tried in different way but no use
on that master page i have control.. on tht control there is label. i want to disable tht label
from ifare call page
script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function setIframeHeight(iframeName) {
debugger;
var s = document.getElementById(iframeName).contentWindow.document;
var t = document.frames("iFrame").document.firstChild.childNodes[1].document.getElementsByTagName("MasterPlaceHolder");
var test = document.frames("iFrame").document.getElementId('MasterPlaceHolder');
var p = s.document.getElementById("ucModel1");
}
</script>
iFrame.Attributes.Add("onload", "setIframeHeight('iFrame');");
|
|
|
|
|
First, format your code with the PRE tags.
As far as accessing your Label control, you can use something like this:
var label = document.getElementById('<%Label1.ClientID%>');
label.disabled = true;

Hey, I am trying to add some text to an image using any language(web development). I'm not very good with web development, so I really don't know which language to use. So far, I have a template, and all I need to do is add some text in some coordinates. The only problem is, is that I've looked all over the internet, and all I've seen is putting text OVER the image. I am trying to add text to the actual image, so they can then save the picture to their computer with the text. Thanks for any help, Hetelek.
