Do you mean "data from multiple database tables" on the same web page?
If so, it is simply the query you use to extract the data from the database. If you mean something else please explain further so I can understand.

NO man, I just want to get multiple data form multiple table and all tables are in single database. For example i have a group table, which has groupID and group name, then a table "USER" then a table "topics" which has groupID, topicID, topic and another table called "TopicDetail" which has topicID, topicDetailID, topicdetail.
Now I want user to login and select his group, then he goes on the page where he can see all the related topics, and if he wants then he could enter now topics. same idea like google group or forums, that on the top of the page you see the group, your email address, date and subject. which all is coming from different tables.
can you help me man.

As far as I can tell you are asking how to use JOIN statements in SQL to pull out data from multiple tables in the database all from a single USER_ID.
Yes?

Could any of you solve the problem of enabling activex control of the browser through javascript. Is there any other methods that can be implemented

Hi Baskar:
Enabling/Disabling an ActiveX Control would be within Web-Browsers' security policy. We can query whether the ActiveX Control is loaded or active in JavaScript but we can not dictate it to be enabled or disabled.

Hi, I am wondering how I can do this. If I have a datagrid with say 5 items, how could I insert a new row through client side scripting to create additional rows?
Also, what could I use to read these new values back once the form is posted to the server?

Is it me that can't read, but I don't see anywhere you mentioning what error you actually get?

I was having trouble specifying multiple actions from a single Form until I stumbled across a great thread on this forum which really helped me out. I adapted the code to suit me and got it working which was great, but what I want to do now is call a simple validation routine before actually submitting the form via either of the two buttons. I've included the code i adapted from the example on this site. I've tried all sorts of combinations with the placement of the validationRoutine, i.e. in the onClick event, in the functions themselves, but even if the validationRoutine returns true, the form doesn't get submitted. Is this possible? Is it something to do with a listener?
<!-- create the form -->
<form name=Form1 method=post>
<!-- Add the data entry bits -->
Your Name <INPUT type="text" name=text1><br>
<!-- Add some buttons -->
<INPUT type="button" value="Button1" name=button1 onclick="return OnButton1();">
<INPUT type="button" value="Button2" name=button2 onclick="return OnButton2();">
<!-- close the form -->
</form>
The button click handlers for Button1 and Button2 look like the following:
<script language=javascript>
<!--
function OnButton1()
{
document.Form1.action = "Page1.asp"
document.Form1.target = "_blank"; // Open in a new window
return validationRoutine(); // Call validation routine
document.Form1.submit(); // Submit the page
return true;
}
function OnButton2()
{
document.Form1.action = "Page2.asp"
document.Form1.target = "_blank"; // Open in a new window
return validationRoutine(); // Call validation routine
document.Form1.submit(); // Submit the page
return true;
}
-->
</script>
|
|
|
|
|
Don't worry, sorted it now. Explicitly tested the value returned from the validationRoutine before determining whether to submit form or not and it worked.

Someone just asked me how you get local weather into your web page. I just went to weather.com and you can use there service loaded with adds if you want.
Is there another service that you can use that doesn't make you use ad-driven content or do I just have to rip it out of weather.com and put it in my own clean stuff?

Work hard, play hard. Don't forget who you are and don't forget where you're from. Do all these things well and you won't have to wonder where you are going.

There is an alternative, however I cannot remember the link. It was some US Goverment site that gave out the weather, but it was a lot harder to interpret than weather.com
I know because i looked at both versions. I did a search on this side for weather, and I had seen a project that implemented the government agency site, so try that.

I have a C# dll that creates xml and posts it via the webrequest object. It appears to be working, but I'm trying to set up a test script to receive that data. So, I'm using traditional asp and I'm not sure how to get at the data. I've tried request.form and even just request, but it doesn't show anything. I've done some debugging and the page is reporting receiving some post data with the same byte count as what I'm sending. But, how do I get to that data if it's not the request object? Thanks.

Oh - is this java ? Either way, it's obvious that a compiler or something uses it, not you.

den how can i view source files from a .exe ??? i feel like im doing hacking...

Why do you want to ? You mean these .class files ? Are they just text ? How did you expect to view them ?
Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

If the .class is indeed Java, you can use a decompiler to ... well decompile it into source code, which can be opened in any text-editor.
Although if you wish to alter something in them, they will need to be compiled again before being usable.

I created some lease agreements for my company using webforms in C# language. I late had to implement an ePad signature into the webforms.
I have added buttons through html calling vbscript to get the signature's into objects on the webform. Of course since these are contracts they can not have the buttons on them when they print.
I need to know if there is anyway to make the buttons not visible after they have been clicked.
Thanks
