Hi,
I have removed all whitespace after imagetags etc and all the images have border="0" on them ( I also tried swapping that to css but with no effect)
When I view in a normal browser it renders just fine, ff3, opera, safari, ie7, ie8, chrome...
this is the encoding I'm using (again, tried changing this in the past but tp no effect):
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
fireworks has this horrible habit of creating an extra row and column filled with spacer.gif, which i have tried removing, but thanks to the complexity of rowspans/colspans, it always ends in tears.
I have another department designing the emails for me and I can't get them to build it from the ground up, I'm just at a bit of a loss now..
Also, don't know if it helps, some (not all) of the images are links, as with most html emails, these seem to be the ones mis-behaving for me. I'v run out of attributes to add / change that i can think of.
Thanks for the reply
Mark

I am trying to setup a site where I connect to an SAAS system via an iframe in my default.asp page. However I seem to be having troubles getting the iframe to pass a variable in the URL.
Here's what I'm trying to do. If I click on the following link, I am immediately logged in as a guest at the SAAS site. Just pasting the link in my browser works correctly.
http://www.mywebapp.com/home/login.asp?FromLogin=1
However, if i use the same URL an iframe, it doesn't seem to pass the variable because I end up at the login page.
<iframe src="<a href="http://www.mywebapp.com/home/login.asp?FromLogin=1">
Can anyone provide a suggestion? This is driving me nuts!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually the link i s am using is:
<iframe src="a href="http://www.mywebapp.com/home/login.asp?FromLogin=1"></iframe>
So no. Unfortunately it did not work.

More than likely you need to set the character encoding of the HTML page to something that supports Farsi (for example, UTF-8)

your answer is correct, i saved my page in utf8 format and i even add the script Header (... charset=utf-8) but still it is not working

Hi Rahman.
First you should set Column Charset to utf8 and set Column Collate to utf8_persian_ci in your MySql table.
Then before each query first send these queries :
mysql_query("SET NAMES 'utf8'");
mysql_query("SET CHARACTER SET 'utf8'");
mysql_query("SET character_set_client = utf8 ");
mysql_query("SET character_set_results = NULL ") ;
mysql_query("SET character_set_connection = utf8 ");
By the way there is a great Persian Forum here[^] that you can ask your questions over there in Persian.

I'm trying to access my eMail contents using "telnet". My eMail Address is testpopid@yahoo.com (I've made it temprarily and will delete it after your answers ). here is my conversation with the server:
telnet pop.mail.yahoo.com 110<br />
+OK hello from popgate 2.4 ...<br />
USER testpopid<br />
+OK Password required.<br />
PASS MyPassword<br />
-ERR [AUTH] invalid user/password
I use the password I defined when creating the eMail account. When I try to log into my account within my brower, ther's no problem and the above password works (I use www.yahoo.com to log in)
Thank you masters!

Yahoo may use more advanced authentication than simple plain-text passwords.

Yes, that's what I was getting across to him in his cross-post in another forum.

hi,
how can I make "tabs" using css.
and if possible I need more examples of web pages using css.
|
|
|
|
|
It's not just CSS that makes the tabs - it's the HTML too, and if you want interactive content, the JavaScript.
Take a look at this article which explains one approach to tabs in more detail.

Surely this should be in the SQL forum?
In MySQL you can extract a random row using
SELECT fieldlist FROM table ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 1
In SQL Server you would use:
SELECT TOP 1 fieldlist FROM table ORDER BY NEWID()
|
|
|
|
|
Oh Sorry Will ask in the SQL forum then.
Before I used the code I use now I used ORDER BY RAND() but it spend even more time. The code I am using now was supposed to be and is faster then the one I used before.
On before hand
Thank you for your help

I agree, but usually some cluck ends up answering for them. Robs the OP of any kind of learning.

Was the cluck comment directed at me?
