Is this an application development question or a phone-related question??

It's not Windows *Mobile* 7, it's Windows *Phone* 7. Windows Mobile 7 was a product that never made it to the public.
Just zoom into the web page to the area that you want to be your tumbnail, open the menu at the bottom, and select "Pin to start." You cannot programmatically do this. The only way your web app could be pined to a user's home page is if she chooses to do so herself.

Please see below connection string.
String strConnectionString = "\\Program Files\\Simple\\simple.sdf";

You need to sell it on the Windows Phone Marketplace. Most phone users don't visit this forum.
Visit App Hub for more details.

How can i do that? Please help me!!!

Use the SetSystemPowerState API.
SetSystemPowerState( L"Suspend", 0, 0 );
SetSystemPowerState( _T( "On" ), 0, 0 );

I want to show images and capture the cursor position according to coordinates / pixel image not coordinates screen,,
approximately how??
please
|
|
|
|
|
The mouse events pass you a MouseEventArgs (or derived) object to your handler delegate. MouseEventArgs has a GetPosition() method that will give you the coordinates relative to the UIElement of your choice.
For showing images I would start with the Image class.

hi all,
i m creating a html file in my application.
is there any classes in Cocoa for simple file encryption/decryption? I just need something I can point at a file on disk and do simple encryption without a password or key and then decode it later. Doesn't have to be fancy or even all that secure - just something simple and easy to use.
please help me for this.
if possible please provide me any example.
thanks in advance.

I have developed a C# app that uses compact .NET and runs on Windows Mobile. Unfortunately, I seem to be the only person on planet earth still running a Windows Mobile phone.
So my question is if you wanted to develop an app to run on most of the popular mobile devices about, what language and IDE would you use?
I note that Android uses Java and iPhone uses Objective C. I have also found something by Novell (I think) called Mono that is some sort of emulator that runs .NET on Androids. So with Mono maybe C#.NET is the answer.
It seems to me that some means of platform independence here would be highly desirable

Hi,
so if you want to develop only for android and windows mobile phone i think c# is a good choice. As you pointed out there is a port of the popular mono for android, so you can run c# apps on both phones.
Unfortunately there are some more phones, that cannot run c# apps, like Iphone, Palm or Blackberry. There are some frameworks on the web, which help to create "html5 web application" - you write html and javascript code and the framework will compile the source for all phones that are supported. One of them is phonegap, supporting Iphone, Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian as far as i know. For some of them it gives even access to the native functions and libraries.
So, i think if you want to get the most of each phone and access all native functions you have to develop the application in the phones programming language, as there are c#, java and objective c.

Hello,
I've got a program written in C++. It was working fine on former versions of Windows CE but now I've got a probleam that the the browser windows I'm using inside that application didn't execute any scripts anymore.
The strange thing is that if I load the url with the IE on that device all is working fine.
when the url is loaded I download the content into a screen:
if (dStreamMem != NULL)
{
GlobalFree(dStreamMem);
}
RELEASE(dStream);
dStreamMem = GlobalAlloc(GMEM_MOVEABLE | GMEM_NODISCARD,size - (content - dBuffer) + additionalHTMLLen);
BYTE* dStreamMemBuf = (BYTE*)GlobalLock(dStreamMem);
memcpy(dStreamMemBuf,content,size - (content - dBuffer));
GlobalUnlock(dStreamMem);
if (FAILED(CreateStreamOnHGlobal(dStreamMem,false,&dStream)))
{
LOGTAG(Error_Download_CreateStreamOnHGlobal_Failed);
}
then I load the stream in a different method and try to display it in the browser window of my application
IPersistStreamInit* persistStream = NULL;
if (FAILED(pBrowser->get_Document(&dDisp)))
{
LOGTAG(Error_ShowPage_pBrowser_get_Document_Failed);
goto CLEANUP;
}
if (FAILED(dDisp->QueryInterface(IID_IHTMLDocument2,(VOID**)&doc)))
{
LOGTAG(Error_ShowPage_dDisp_QueryInterface_Failed);
goto CLEANUP;
}
if (FAILED(doc->QueryInterface(IID_IPersistStreamInit,(void**)&persistStream)))
{
LOGTAG(Error_ShowPage_doc_QueryInterface_Failed);
goto CLEANUP;
}
if (FAILED(persistStream->Load(dStream)))
{
LOG('I', "Load Stream failed!\r\n");
LOGTAG(Error_ShowPage_persistStream_Load_Failed);
ret = FALSE;
goto CLEANUP;
}
The page is displayed in HTML without any errors (or at least it seems so) but when I press a button there nothing is happen.
Anyone an idea what could cause such a behaviour?

Use CeSetUserNotification to activate your program at a particular time of day.
Then, use TAPI to turn the cellular radio off.
