Hello all
I want to stream all the audio file while uploading it to my
server. When user want to play any song then it should be start palying
as soon as it click on play button it should not take any time for streaming.
Ex

You can't. ASP.NET cannot do this. It can host a java control that does this, but, of course, how long it takes to play will depend on the bandwidth of the end user, as well as the format you use.

Yes , using WMI you can read . But it will give you server HDD Serial No.

but giving error on managementobject while same code works fine in 2.0

That would be a security and privacy issue. How would I know that you are not reading other stuff off the hard drive I wouldn't want you to. Boy, I'll stay clear of your app, it sounds potentially malicious.

Hy,
I have created a hyperlink in a gridview in code behind...how can i pass a variable in the hyperlink in code behind....
my code is
HyperLinkField hfield = new HyperLinkField();
hfield.HeaderText = "memberid"; hfield.NavigateUrl = "Default.aspx?query={0}" ;
hfield.DataTextField = dt.Columns[0].ToString();
GridView1.Columns.Add(hfield);
GridView1.DataSource = dt;
GridView1.DataBind();

How did you tried with Global.aspx, can you please put the code of Session_Start() Method.

Take a application level variable.Increase the count by 1 on every session start and Decrease when session ends in Global.asax.

and your session mode in global.asax must be set to InProc otherwise session_end event will not call.....

You can use Application variable to keep the current viewer count. Increase the count in Session_Start event and decrease it when the session ends. ASP.NET is multithreaded so application variables are not thread safe. Make sure you always use a lock around the operations. Something like
Application.Lock();

Application["viewers"] = currentViewerCount + 1;
Application.UnLock();

Database structure is ready for the forum. actually I have develop one discussion forum by using repeater contol in asp.net, but it’s not fulfill. that’s reason behind all this things.

Most of the cool stuff in this forum is done with javascript and was here when the site was asp. There's no ASP.NET controls you 'need', I'd still use a repeater, it gives you more control.

You can do one thing,
Read the value of datagrid row at serverside then register a javascript function which takes the value as a parameter.
