Hello Friend
I have faced a problem in SQL Server
I have a stored procedure which works as follows
Declare @Id int
Select @id=max(id) from emp
Set @id=@id+1
update emp Set id=@id
return @id
Now, we call this stored procedure from our ASP.net application. It is working perfecly in single user environment,
but the problem is that when we are working in multi-user environment some time the procedure returns same id instead of unique id.
How can I solve it, so that every time the procedure returns unique value for each user.
Is there any technique to execute this stored procedure in queue.

Why aren't you using identity columns in SQL Server? That's what they're meant for.

hi,

how i asign the value to columnspan property like this
i have two numbers for suppose start_cell_number and end_cell_number i have to merge these cells into one cell.
for example cell number 4 to 8 i have merge into one cells i mean i have to assign cell.columnspan ="1" Dynamically how i do that .
any hint or suggestion is highly apperciated

it is actually server side table . i have used table control for displaying data from database visually .
i have start_cell_number and end_cell_number for suppose 8 to 12 i have to merge as one cell.
in a row i have 32 cells from 0 to 31 .
hope now its clear to you please give me hint how i do that .
i have used this cell.columnspan="how i assign such a value that merge above figures as a one cell"

Perhaps you can new row for your another data.When there is displaying different data,you can hide no-use row at the moment.

i have to merge cells into one cell like cell number 4 to 8 it would be one cell.
i have created table dynamically using the code and created row and cells objects and now i have to merge cells into one dynamically .
please iam stuck on this no solution found using google .

I think this can be finished!You could use property colspans or rowspans.Try it again.If this time don't pass,you debuy it by step.

I have gridview in which i bind dropdownlist I want to change gridview content when user selects any value in dropdownlist
for example
gridview displays student's data( name,address,class,age)
I want dropdown for each of this field
When i select class and address from dropdownlist in gridview(Class X address Mumbai) Grid view should display me list of student which are in class x and address is mumbai in the same gridview or in different gridview
IS it possible with gridview or is there any control to be used

Yes,just bind DataGrid and DropDownList to your data,and set DropDownList.AutoPostback=true.
AutoPostback mean when you change your select in list,current page will post back server,so...

Did you give this any thought at all. How is your subject line relevant ?
Telerik have support forums, that's the best place to find people who know how to use their controls. Probably you need to write better code, there's no reason for your control to contain more data than is visible on the current page.

i m doing a project in cms, now i need to use tabcontrol(vb.net) in asp.but i didn't find tab control in the toolbox in asp.is there any other way to use that or any other controls that works similar to that of tabcontrol pls help me its urgent.

No, I suspect it's more that companies in countries with a strong demand for outsourcing, sometimes hire people on the basis they can type and read, and tell them how to find CP.
