Hi every body

But when I Browse by my IE then it does not open and also does not give error message

I have designed a Editor with basic format options and Spell check option.
The spell check code is as follows

The problem is that, when i execute it in my system, its working fine.
But when i access the same URL from another machine, the spell check dialog is not opening but , its opening in the parent system.
What could be the problem? Kindly help me

I have a page which has lot of asp.net controls and retrieves data from the database and fill the controls.
and if the user makes changes and moves to the next page without saving. I want to alert them.
Can any one gimme idea on how to track the changes in the page !! or which keyword to search in google for  !!
P.S: I checked for Viewstate property but it remains the same onload and posts.

Hi All,
In crystal report i want to display a field which is a string that should be in the following condition.
If that field has string value then it should display as it is else
if its a number then it should convert the string type to numeric type.
i used the following code
If NumericText ({st_delivery_note.stst_item_code}) Then
ToNumber ({st_delivery_note.stst_item_code})
else {st_delivery_note.stst_item_code}
but error occurs in the last line which says " A number required here"
Can anyone help me out.

Hi,
I am working on URL rewriting. Everything is working fine with VS 2005 web server. But when I configured in IIS it is not working.
The urls look like the following:
http://localhost/Prodcuts/Categories/View.Shirts
http://localhost/Prodcuts/Categories/AddNew.Category
So extension will change according to the functionality. I could not figure it out how to configure IIS 5.1 to work with these extension. Please help me. Thank you.

I need your help..i am in a problem like
In my webpage i have 2 textbox...initially both will have to show..user has to enter value any one of these 2 textbox and has some regular expression validation is also there..
eg..one textbox is for bank a/c and another is for someother bank a/c no each one has it's on regular expression validation ..user has to fill either one of these textboxes..for that i have to create a custom validation control..because i am a beginer in asp.net..so can anybody help me to make custom control for this problem....for that i can reuse it again in my project..

Hi,
I have few objects in my web service I need to parse them into System.Xml.XmlDocument automatically. So that the object should be displayed as xml document. And if parsing fails then it should throw an exception that the format is incorrect. So that I can say the user to resend the values.
Can anybody pls. suggest me to do XML parsing.

I have to give the client to open the mail message window of outlook on clicking the button.It is opening on the server on button click event, but when he client try to open it on the button click , it is not opening.

Obviously, you cannot, unless each user has a dedicated IP and you track that. But, you may as well track logins.

I have GridView with EmployeeID, FirstName columns both are bound columns, and paging enabled. When the page is displayed, I see EmployeeID and FirstName in the GridView.
Now, I need to go to second page... while going to second page, I need to read first page's EmployeeIDs with Javascript and store it somewhere.
How can I do that?
Anyone...........Help!!!

Well, if you need the ids, put them in a hidden field, so you can get at them from javascript.

I want to pass the value of a dropdownlist to a formviewlabel.
1. I use the dropdown to "choose" a record number then view that record in a gridview.
2. I use a formview NewButtonClick event to add a detail record.
3. I then want pass that record number on to the detail (from the dropdownlist to the formviewlabel) so I don't have to enter it manually.
I have read and tried a lot of different things that related to passing values between pages and nothing has worked. I haven't been able to find much on passing values between controls. Any help would be aprecated.
